FIORINA: ‘TITLES ARE JUST TITLES,’ HILLARY’S ‘TRACK RECORD’ IS ME COLLAPSE AND THE RUSSIAN RESET

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina argued that “titles are just titles” and Hillary Clinton’s “track record” includes the collapse of the Middle East and the failed Russian reset on Wednesday’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC.

Fiorina said, “I come from a world where titles are just titles, and talk is just talk. It’s only in politics where titles and words mean a lot. In the rest of the world, it’s actually about what have you done, actions speak louder than words. People want to know are your words and your actions consistent and are they consistent over time. And so, I think when 82% of the American people now believe that there is a professional political class more interested in preserving its own power and privilege than it is in serving the American people, people expect basic questions to be asked of anyone running for president. ‘What have you done, are you trustworthy, are you transparent, will you answer questions?'”

Fiorina said that while Hillary Clinton has said some “wonderful things” as Secretary of State, “it’s also true that as Secretary of State she took women’s rights and human rights off the table for discussion with China. It’s also true as Secretary of State that she called Bashar al-Assad a positive reformer. It’s also true that in 2011, when she was Secretary of State, she said that Iraq was a free, stable, sovereign nation. And now we have a nation falling apart, Iranian influence growing, ISIS growing. It’s true that she said that she could reset our Russia — our relationship with Russia and Vladimir Putin is on the march. So, I think all of those things I just named go fundamentally to what is her track record.”

After host Andrea Mitchell stated, “You could also argue that a lot of Republicans in the White House and in Congress supported those policies –” Fiorina responded, “absolutely, that’s right. And by the way, every single Republican candidate has been asked about their vote for the war in Iraq. The one person who’s not been asked  that question, because she won’t answer the question is Hillary Clinton. One person who was on the job in 2011, when Iraq started to fall apart, was not the Republican nominees or — candidates for president, it’s Hillary Clinton. she hasn’t been asked yet. What would she do now in Iraq?”

[VIDEO] Emails reportedly show confidant told Clinton Benghazi attack planned by AQ-tied fighters

A longtime Clinton confidant reportedly advised then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton two days after the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that an Al Qaeda-tied group had planned the deadly assault and used a protest as cover -- but despite this warning, Clinton's U.N. ambassador went on to publicly claim the attack was "spontaneous." 

The guidance from ex-Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal was contained in a memo sent Sept. 13, according to The New York Times. It is the latest documentation effectively contradicting the administration's early narrative that the attack was driven by protests over an anti-Islam Internet video -- and raising questions over why officials stuck to that story for days. 

According to the Times, Blumenthal initially blamed "demonstrators" angry over that video for the attacks. But the next day, he sent Clinton a very different memo. 

According to the Times, Blumenthal told Clinton the attack was driven by Al Qaeda-tied Ansar al-Shariah members who had planned it for a month and used a protest as cover. He cited "sensitive sources." 

"We should get this around asap," Clinton reportedly told an adviser in response.

IA Dems Can't Name a Single Accomplishment Hillary Had As Secretary of State

The silence was all-too-familiar when Hillary Clinton supporters were asked about her accomplishments as secretary of state.

These Hillary supporters, registered Democrats who plan to vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016, were quizzed by MSNBC contributor Mark Halperin in a segment on "Morning Joe."

Responses ranged from, "I can't name anything off the top of my head" to just plain, "No."

The closest thing to a real answer one of the supporters gave was this: " She's not perfect." This voter played the classic distraction game, pointing to the fact that she is not Wis. Gov. Scott Walker, has been in high offices for 25 years, and has "good" policies.

Report: Hillary Clinton Had Second Secret Email Address While Secretary of State

A second secret email address used by Hillary Rodham Clinton while she was secretary of state was revealed Monday.

The email address, published by The New York Times, was used in exchanges between Clinton and longtime adviser Sydney Blumenthal, and is from the same private email server that was uncovered earlier this year.

“Fyi. The idea of using private security experts to arm the opposition should be considered,” Clinton wrote Blumenthal from the ­email address HRod17@clintonemail.com.

The two were discussing strategies to help the opposition rebels oust Moammar Khadafy in Libya as that country descended into chaos in 2011.

Clinton’s office insisted just two months ago that the only private email address used by the former secretary of state during her tenure was hdr22@clintonemail.com.

In a 2015 letter to Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), Clinton’s lawyer acknowledged that the HRod17 email address existed, but stated explicitly that it was “not an address that existed during Secretary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state.”

The time stamps and content of the messages make clear that this statement was inaccurate, according to the Times report.

The first private email use was seen as a breach of protocol. Clinton’s advisers handed over 55,000 pages of emails to the State Department so they could comply with an investigation. But, according to Vice News, those emails will not be made public until 2016.

The Golden ‘Hillary Papers’ Egg

The school of literary criticism known as reception theory holds that a text should be studied in light of its effect on its contemporaries, that a reader should be aware of the “horizon of expectations” in which a text is produced. I was reminded of this the other day as I observed, in amusement, fascination, and occasional pity, the reaction of the so-called mainstream media to Alana Goodman’s lengthy and rock-solid report on “The Hillary Papers.” This trove of previously unexamined transcriptions of conversations between Hillary Clinton and her best friend Diane Blair had been collecting dust at the University of Arkansas for years. Not anymore.

As far as Bill and Hillary Clinton are concerned, the media’s horizon of expectations is stunningly narrow. It encompasses on the one hand the belief that the “secretary of explaining stuff” is a national treasure beyond reproach, and on the other hand the expectation that the former secretary of state will be our next president. Stories that fall outside of this horizon are problematized, scrutinized, ascribed to partisanship, and read with the sort of incredulity reporters are supposed to apply to public figures such as the Clintons.

When the Free Beacon published “The Hillary Papers” last Sunday night, we knew the story would have to cross a high bar. The piece was scrupulously fact-checked. All of the documents we cited were loaded onto the Internet. Every effort was made to present as straightforwardly as possible the contents of the papers, which show Hillary Clinton as hardheaded, calculating, and, yes, ruthless. (Re-read the part where she axes a Supreme Court appointment out of spite.)

Dozens of politicians — city, state and federal — packed the pews as former President Bill Clinton offered a stirring eulogy, quoting Scripture and proudly telling the crowd that he was once described as “the only white man in America who knew all the verses to ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing.’ ”

Since Mrs. Clinton left the secretary of state post in February, she and her husband have sought to soothe and strengthen their relationship with African-Americans, the constituency that was most scarred during her first bid for the presidency. Five years after remarks by Mr. Clinton about Barack Obama deeply strained the Clintons’ bond with African-Americans, the former first family is setting out to ensure that there is no replay of such trouble in 2016.

Mrs. Clinton used two of her most high-profile speeches, including one before a black sorority convention, to address minority voting rights — an explosive issue among African-Americans since the Supreme Court struck down part of the Voting Rights Act in June. A month after Mr. Gray’s funeral, Mrs. Clinton and her husband both asked to speak at the service for Bill Lynch, a black political strategist who is credited with the election of David N. Dinkins as mayor of New York, and stayed for well over two hours in a crowd full of well-connected mourners. And there have been constant personal gestures, especially by the former president.

Sunday Show Round Up - Kerry defends deal with Iran that eases sanctions

Secretary of State John Kerry took to the airwaves to defend the Iran-P5+1 diplomatic deal that was reached in Geneva early Sunday morning.

“This negotiation is not the art of fantasy or the art of the ideal, it’s the art of the possible, which is verifiable and clear in its capacity to be able to make Israel and the region safer,” Kerry said on ABC’s “This Week.”

“The fact is that Iran’s ability to break out will expand under this program. Therefore, Israel will be safer, the region will be safer, Iran’s 20 percent uranium will be destroyed, therefore they are safer. Iran’s 3.5 percent uranium stock will be frozen at its current level and the centrifuges will not be able to be installed in places that could otherwise be installed and advance the program.”

Despite Kerry’s assurances, many lawmakers and foreign leaders have already expressed frustration and concern at the deal.

A key issue for critics, such as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.), concerns the dismantling of centrifuges. Last night Graham tweeted, “Unless the agreement requires dismantling of the Iranian centrifuges, we really haven’t gained anything.”

Rep. Mike Rogers (R., Mich.) echoed that worry this morning during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” arguing, that Iran had been given “a permission slip to continue enrichment.”

“That’s the one thing the whole world was trying to stop them from doing. … We made this mistake in Pakistan. We made this mistake in North Korea. History is a great judge here and a great teacher, why would you make the same mistake to a nation that will proliferate a nuclear arms race in the Middle East if they are successful at getting a nuclear weapon,” Rogers said.

Krauthammer: Every GOPer Can Beat 'Paper Tiger' Hillary

Charles Krauthammer says no matter which Republican gets the presidential nomination in 2016, all of them could beat the “paper tiger” candidacy of Hillary Clinton.

Radio host Hugh Hewitt asked Krauthammer on his show on Tuesday whether any of a several contenders for 2016 could beat the former secretary of state.

“Every single one can beat Hillary. Hillary’s a paper tiger,” the conservative columnist said, according to a transcript. “Hillary was inevitable in ’08 and what happened to inevitability? I don’t think she’s that, I think she can win, of course. And I think she’ll get the nomination by acclamation for religious reasons.”

Krauthammer said Clinton can’t run on her record, because she doesn’t have one.

“She’s worshipped by the Democrats. But I don’t think that translates necessarily. The idea that she’s a shoe-in for the presidency I think is just ridiculously wrong,” Krauthammer said. “I don’t think she’s a great campaigner. You know, she’s got her strengths, but let me ask you this. You know the hyperbole about her being Secretary of State? Name me one thing she achieved in the four years. One.”

Hewitt also engaged Krauthammer in a “lightning round” of word association for the likely Republicans in the race.

Krauthammer called New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie a “frontrunner,” Ohio Gov. John Kasich was “interesting, possible,” Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was “young, ambitious, brash. I like him.” Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has “one pratfall, but very strong, very deep, could be a contender,” Krauthammer said. Similarly, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who is “attractive, articulate, young” in Krauthammer’s estimation, “ran into a bit of trouble with that immigration bill, but he’s a contender.”

Secretary of State John Kerry calls climate change the world's biggest threat

Secretary of State John Kerry told a climate change conference in Poland Monday that global warming is the biggest challenge to the world.

“Fulfilling our responsibility to the future inhabitants of our planet is an ambitious goal, yes, but there isn't a more important one out there right now,” he said in a video shown at the conference.

Kerry also urged immediate action by world leaders to curb emissions. Climate change, he said, “is happening now.”

[VIDEO] Netanyahu: 'This Is a Bad Deal--a Very, Very Bad Deal'

A very unusual statement from the Israel prime minister on the eve of a possible nuclear detail between the U.S. and Iran:

"I met Secretary Kerry right before he leaves to Geneva," said Netanyhau. "I reminded him that he said that no deal is better than a bad deal. That the deal that is being discussed in Geneva right now is a bad deal. It’s a very bad deal. Iran is not required to take apart even one centrifuge. But the international community is relieving sanctions on Iran for the first time after many years. Iran gets everything that it wanted at this stage and it pays nothing. And this is when Iran is under severe pressure. I urge Secretary Kerry not to rush to sign, to wait, to reconsider, to get a good deal. But this is a bad deal--a very, very bad deal. It’s the deal of a century for Iran; it’s a very dangerous and bad deal for peace and the international community."

HILLARY CLINTON TO RECEIVE AMERICAN PATRIOT AWARD

FROM WHO?? THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF STUPIDITY??  YOU HAVE TO BE FREAKIN KIDDING ME!!!!!!

Hillary Clinton is set receive the National Defense University Foundation' American Patriot Award.

According to the Washington Examiner, the award ceremony features five co-chairs: "Madeleine Albright, who served as Secretary of State under Bill Clinton; former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who spent two years as Clinton's White House chief of staff; ...Vernon Jordan, who became a household name when he attempted to cover up the Monica Lewinsky scandal by getting the then-White House intern a job; [and] former Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman and George W. Bush's former Secretary of State Colin Powell."

Previous award recipients include "three failed presidential candidates"--Sens. Bob Dole (R-Kan.), John McCain (R-AZ), and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.). 

Ironically, Clinton receives the award on November 14, which is around the time 60 Minutes is running a special detailing its attempts to "get to the truth about what happened in Benghazi."
