Obama says Amnesty is yours for $465

The Obama administration will formally begin granting some young undocumented immigrants legal status and work permits later this month under a controversial new policy first announced by President Obama in June.
The Department of Homeland Security today announced details of the application and approval process for the DREAM Act-like program, outlining specific eligibility requirements and a $465 fee. It will begin Aug. 15.
Illegal immigrants younger than 30 who came to the United States before age 16, have lived here for at least five years continuously, attend or have graduated from high school or college, and have no criminal convictions are eligible to submit requests for so-called deferred action (legalese for an official exemption from deportation).

A New Era of Prohibition: The Rise of the Californian Nanny State

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells his listeners that a man with a beam in his eye ought not to criticize another with a mere speck in his. The message: sort out your own crippling shortcomings before presuming to meddle in someone else’s. It’s good advice for an individual; it would be even better advice for the state of California. Good counsel, however, has a way of falling on deaf ears in the Golden State. While lawmakers have found themselves incapable of dealing with crippling budget deficits, a public-pension liability that hovers around a half-trillion dollars, and a business environment consistently ranked as the nation’s worst, they’ve decided that the state’s most pressing problem is its people—specifically, their culinary eccentricities.
On July 1, the state with the nation’s largest economy ushered in a new era of prohibition, banning the sale of foie gras, a French delicacy made out of the intentionally fattened liver of a duck or goose. As anyone who has ever patronized a Sacramento tavern while the legislature is in session knows, this is perhaps the first time in recorded history that state lawmakers regarded hepatic dysfunction as cause for alarm.
The ban was a long time coming. Like many of California’s logic-starved but passion-distended nanny state impulses, it traces its origins to the era of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who signed the bill into law in 2004. As written, the law’s apologists point out, the statute isn’t quite an outright prohibition; it simply makes illegal within state borders the sale or production of foie gras produced by force-feeding the birds—the only method that has ever brought widespread success. The nearly eight-year window between passage and implementation was intended to allow time to develop alternative methods of production. Outlawing proven business models while waiting for a superior alternative to emerge from whole cloth is what passes for cultivating entrepreneurialism in California.

NASA spacecraft speeding toward a landing on Mars

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — After an 8 1/2-month voyage through space, NASA's souped-up Mars spacecraft zoomed toward the red planet for what the agency hopes will be an epic touchdown.
The fiery punch through the tenuous Martian atmosphere at 13,000 mph Sunday night marks the beginning of "seven minutes of terror" as the Curiosity rover aims for a bull's-eye landing inside a massive crater near the equator.
The latest landing attempt is more nerve-racking than in the past because NASA is testing out a new routine. Curiosity will steer itself part of the way and end on a dramatic note: Dangling by cables until its six wheels touch the ground.
That's the plan at least.
"Can we do this? Yeah, I think we can do this. I'm confident," Doug McCuistion, head of the Mars exploration program at NASA headquarters, said Saturday. "We have the A-plus team on this. They've done everything possible to ensure success, but that risk still exists."

Clint Eastwood endorses Mitt Romney (Updated)

"Dirty Harry" star Clint Eastwood, who made waves when he appeared in the "it's halftime in America" Super Bowl ad, was at a Mitt Romney fundraiser tonight, per a pool report flagged by POLITICO's Ginger Gibson.
Per Gibson's pool report, Eastwood deadpanned, "I haven't endorsed Gov. Romney," and then laughed.  He later added he was kidding. "I think the country needs a boost somewhere," he added.
UPDATE: Romney appeared pleased by the endorsement from Eastwood, whose Chrysler ad during the Super Bowl earlier this year was widely seen as a tacit nod to President Obama, even though he never said anything specifically about the campaign.
From Gibson's report, a transcription of Eastwood's ode to his film Mystic River and how it brought him to Romney:
Romney: "There is a guy here from the world of acting, who has pursed his dreams in a very unsuual way, he stood up to the industry and did things his own way."

SHUNNED!!

Tenn. Democratic Party disavows its own US Senate nominee

The Tennessee Democratic Party disavowed its own U.S. Senate nominee Friday, announcing that he is “associated with a known hate group” — in this case, a conservative advocacy organization.
Mark Clayton won Tuesday’s Democratic primary with 30 percent of the vote in a field of seven candidates.
“The only time that Clayton has voted in a Democratic primary was when he was voting for himself,” said the Tennessee Democratic Party in a statement. “Many Democrats in Tennessee knew nothing about any of the candidates in the race, so they voted for the person at the top of the ticket. Unfortunately, none of the other Democratic candidates were able to run the race needed to gain statewide visibility or support.”
“Mark Clayton is associated with a known hate group in Washington, D.C., and the Tennessee Democratic Party disavows his candidacy, will not do anything to promote or support him in any way, and urges Democrats to write-in a candidate of their choice in November,” the statement concluded.

Boehner: Obama Has “Never Even Had A Real Job, For God’s Sake”…

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) lashed out at President Obama during an interview Tuesday, saying the president has "never even had a real job, for God's sake."

Boehner was discussing the presidential election, and accusing President Obama's campaign team of using "over-the-top" rhetoric to distract from his economic record.

Sometimes I have to catch my breath and slow down because the rhetoric in this campaign is just so over-the-top," Bohener said during an appearance on "Kilmeade and Friends." "And that's because the president's policies have failed. Listen — 93 percent of Americans believe they're a part of the middle class. That's why you hear the president talk about the middle class every day, because he's talking to 93 percent of the American people."

POLL FARCE: PEW OVERSAMPLES DEMOCRATS TO BOOST OBAMA

On what alternate universe will Democrats enjoy a D +19 turnout advantage over Republicans on election day? Well, that would be Planet Pew:

The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted July 16-26, 2012, among 2,508 adults, including 1,956 registered voters, finds that, in keeping with his favorability advantage, Obama continues to hold a sizable lead over Romney in the election contest. Currently, 51% say they support Obama or lean toward him, while 41% support or lean toward Romney.
Except….
Sample Size:
459 Republicans
813 Democrats
599 Independents
In the best election season Democrats have enjoyed since Nixon resigned, 2008, the Democrat advantage was only D+8, but Pew is now attempting to hustle us into believing the turnout this  year is going to be D +19.

The Obama Lie Machine

Obama tax calculator offers tax cuts for millionaires

The Obama campaign unveiled a new website Thursday as part of a major communications push to convince voters that Mitt Romney’s tax plan favors the rich.
The website includes a tax calculator that allows voters to compare their tax savings under President Obama’s and Gov. Romney’s competing plans.
However, the tax calculator seems to be doing some fuzzy math. President Obama has promised to raise income taxes on all Americans making more than $200,000 and all families making more than $250,000 a year. Obama campaign spokesman Jen Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One earlier today, “If you’re a millionaire or billionaire, it’s probably not looking good for you in our plan, but otherwise, you’re great under our plan.  So we encourage people to go [to the calculator website].”

ICE Agent Faces Suspension For Arresting Illegal Alien

A veteran Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent is facing suspension after he refused to release an illegal immigrant who was not considered a priority target under the Obama Administration’s new immigration enforcement policies, according to documents provided exclusively to Fox News.

“They’re punishing law enforcement officers who are just trying to uphold U.S. law,” said Chris Crane, president of the National ICE Council. Crane is a union representative acting on the unidentified officer’s behalf. The officer under fire is an 18-year law enforcement and military veteran.
On March 27 he and another officer were conducting surveillance on a vehicle in Newark, Del. with plates that were registered to a criminal alien target. During the surveillance, they observed an individual get into the vehicle. The person was detained, questioned and taken to an ICE office so that his fingerprints could be run through a federal database.

Obama’s Racism-Obsessed Surrogate

Virginia state senator: 'I absolutely believe it's all about race'

The Obama surrogate who blamed the president’s falling poll numbers in Virginia on racist tactics by Republicans has a history of claiming racism.
State Sen. Louise Lucas (D., Portsmouth), told a radio host that Republican candidate Mitt Romney is “speaking to that fringe out there who do not want to see anybody other than a white person in a leadership position.”
“I absolutely believe it’s all about race and for the first time I’ve convinced my children finally that racism is alive and well,” she said.
Lucas appeared on the WHKT talk show in her official capacity as an Obama surrogate. The president’s reelection campaign refused to respond to media requests about the comment.

Bonus Blowout: GSA Gave Out $44M

Employees at the obscure General Services Administration are quietly gobbling up 10 percent of the entire federal government's bonus checks, a top Republican lawmaker revealed Wednesday, with the tab reaching a stunning $44 million last year.

The $44 million amount is far more than was previously reported. As House lawmakers convened a hearing Wednesday digging deep into alleged mismanagement and waste at the embattled agency, Transportation Committee Chairman John Mica, R-Fla, called the latest revelations "absolutely outrageous."

Disclosing the results of what he described as a preliminary investigation, Mica said bonuses totaled $44 million, with many bonuses worth $50,000 apiece and some going to workers now under investigation. One employee, he said, received a $79,000 bonus, adding up to nearly $260,000 in total compensation.

Lawmakers also said overtime payments were over the top. Mica cited one case where a worker with an $84,000 salary received $115,000 overtime.

California: Political Sinkhole of the West (Part 2)

Last week Gov. Jerry Brown traveled to two different cities for the ceremonial signing of the High-speed rail bill. The only thing missing from the event was the ditch that the train is heading for if this project ever gets off the ground. The hole that will be dug to accommodate the high-speed rail project better be big enough to bury the state. The "Project" if completed will travel from SF to LA and beyond. To say this project is a waste of money is a testimony to the democrat thinking that has continued to permeate the state when common sense has been in short supply and stupidity is at the top of the list.

No one knows what the final cost will be but when you include the costs of bonds at the current rate, it cost the state about $2.25 for every dollar borrowed. It is a wonder how the state has not gone bankrupt yet. With the gimmicks and games that are being played, the arbitrary budget that was just passed makes for interesting conversation that all bets are off as to when and not if California falls into the ocean. In the past month three California cities have filed for bankruptcy protection with many more lining up to fail as well.

Obama: "Its a Step in the Right (Wrong) Direction"

What the Obama Administration is really saying is "Don't read the job numbers.  It will just tell you what we don't want you do know,  its worse than we want it to appear to be and we really don't know what we are doing;" For those of you that think that everything is fine just because the President says, "It's a step in the right direction" you are sadly mistaken.

The creation (a word that the President loves to throw around) of 80,000 jobs should be added jobs. And for the record 150,000 people entered the job market in June which means we "added" a net loss of 70,000 jobs. If this logic does not make sense to you, it's called government speak and it is used to distract and confuse even the most seasoned bureaucrat. The real truth lies (another word that can be used to describe what they are telling you) in the statistics you won't hear or see in the MSM.  You are going to see them here today.

California: Political Sinkhole of the West

Anyone who follows politics in California knows that the republicans are fighting a losing battle.  Jerry Brown is again going to the taxpayers to bail out the state.  To add insult to injury the 2012-2013 budget bill he just signed includes revenues of $8.2 billion that will come from his tax initiatives "IF" they pass.

There are many ways that we can paint this picture.  First of all, if history is any indication of the failures of the past, higher taxes do not raise revenues.  It usually has the opposite effect.  When Illinois passed a tax increase in last year, revenue went down faster than a roller coaster at Disneyland. There is only so much you can do to tax your way out of trouble.  Business's and people have moved to neighboring states where the tax burden is lower and the business environment is pro-active.  This is the exact same thing that has been happening in California for the past few years.  Business's are leaving at the rate of five a week and this is not the worst of it.  California has ranked at the bottom of the least friendly state to do business eight years running according to Chief Executive magazine.  And as the taxes and regulatory burden increases more and more people are leaving the state for friendlier pastures. You know when things are getting worse when you see other states putting up billboards in your state.

Jobless Claims on the Rise Again.

After digesting the unemployment numbers for the last few days, there is every indication that very few jobs are being created, as this administration continues to flounder.  They can boast all they want about the jobs that have been created in the past year, but the underlying consequences do not reflect the true picture of the job market.  When it is said that their are 766,000 less women working than three years ago, I have to pause and ask what's next? Veterans unemployment rates are also climbing at an alarming rate. This weeks new claims reached a four week high of 386,000 which are 6,000 more than the previous week.

Its hard to get excited when only 69,000 jobs were created in May. The revised job numbers for March and April show that 49,000 fewer jobs were created than originally  reported.  It just keeps getting worse and with no end in sight for an already floundering economy the only good news is it will spell doom for the re-election efforts of Obama. On June 14, 2012 House Speaker John Boehner released the following video showing the jobs bills that have been passed by the House but  still sit languishing in the Senate. Harry Reid has virtually put a halt to all legislation that would put people to work and jump start the economy.

ANOTHER UNEMPLOYMENT STATISTICAL LIE HITS JUNE 1, 2012

As one month ends and another begins one can only wonder what kind of magic the Obama Administration will cook up with the release of the May 2012 unemployment results. Any sane person will look at these numbers with disdain and anger while the left will do their best to spin the results as a positive look at how the economy is "IMPROVING".  Using the word improving with any connection to this administration is a tough undertaking but it must be said. They have lived in a fantasy world for the last 41 months and new data suggests that the remainder of this presidency (7 months) will be more of the same.

A closer analysis of April's job numbers is not very encouraging as there were 1,388 mass layoffs affecting 136,500 people.  The average new unemployment claims for the last four weeks is still hovering around 375,000 with no indication that this number will fall in the immediate future.

APRIL HIRING PITIFUL 115,000 YET RATE DROPS!!!

Numbers released from the Labor Department shows April unemployment dropped to 8.1% as non-farm payrolls increased only by 115,000. As earnings fell flat less business's are hiring as the economy continues to sputter along toward the November elections.  This is not good news for the Obama Administration as they were hoping for a pickup of +160,000 jobs.  Last months jobs report was adjusted upward to +154,000.

The telling signs of this jobs report is the drop in the number of people that fell off the unemployment rolls as there benefits expire and they stop looking for jobs. The participation rate dropped to 63.6% from last months 63.8%,  the lowest since 1981 as the change in civilian labor force dropped 364,000.   The unemployed and underemployed is now at 14.5%

What’s in the Cards for April’s Unemployment Numbers?

It will not be good news as the economy continues to  sputters along at an anemic rate.  A more detailed look at March tells us that layoff’s continue across the board as employers took 1, 273 layoff actions involving 121,310 workers across all categories. The number of new unemployment claims in April rose to a 4 week moving average of 381,750, up 6,250 from the previous week.

It was also widely reported this week that half the people with bachelor’s degrees cannot find work.  An analysis shows that over 53% are jobless or underemployed which does not give us any indication that the job market is improving.  The labor force participation rate which is still below 64% is at its lowest rate in more than 10 years.

Next Stop for Democrats, Comedy Central

For the past few days there has been a cornucopia of good material coming out the democrat party. There is no way to explain why the left (which includes both the politicians and the liberal media) has chosen to entertain instead of inform us with their condescending rants day after day with no clear message. It certainly does not give us a warm and fuzzy feeling that these are the people that have been chosen to run our country. It only goes to solidify what most of us already know, we are surrounded by comedians who are masquerading as politicians. I have only had to travel back a few days in time to get material for this routine.

No Good Path to Re-election for Obama

The number of negative events that have hit President Obama this week is not unprecedented but the quality of the bad news (9 on a scale of 1 to 10) should make one think that he is not electable. That’s the good news. The bad news is don't count him out yet.

In the past week we have seen a serious mic gaffe at the nuclear summit and while he was trying to walk back his comments that no one was buying, his top legal minds were getting beaten up in front of the Supreme Court. It was so bad that Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, had to be thrown a lifetime by the liberal justices (I think they truly felt sorry for him). Gas prices continue to rise to unprecedented levels. A recent poll shows 68% of Americans are angry at the president, his approval rating is hovering around 41%, and we won't even mention his comments about Trayvon Martin which has taken us in so many directions it's hard to keep track. The former DNC chairman Howard Dean predicted that the individual mandate would be declared unconstitutional. Current DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz in staying true to her fantasy thinking says that Obama's base is “pretty darn excited” as they were in 2008. I think not. All of this leaves Obama in a very precarious position. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Unemployment Rates to be Reported Friday April 6

On Friday April 6 the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) will report the March unemployment numbers. We should be reminded again that it does not even come close to painting the real picture of what's going on.  Regardless of the results the democrats have only one way to spin it and as much as we like to hear positive news when it comes to the economy, it still smells fishy.  The four week moving average for new claims according to the BLS is 365,000 vs. 401,000 for the same period in 2011.

The December unemployment rate was 8.7% and dropped to 8.3% for January and February. This only tells part of the story as 1.2 million employable people dropped off the radar or just stopped looking. The participation rate which measures the labor force as a percent of the civilian noninstitutional population climbed slightly to 63.9% in February from 63.7% in January.  The participation rate is the lowest since 1984. In the 2011 the civilian population rose by almost 3.6 million, yet the labor force only rose 1.1 million. Those not in the labor force rose by almost 2.5 million. If people were not dropping out of the labor force the unemployment rate would be well over 11%.  According to Gallup, the underemployment rate is hovering around 18%.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that at the rate we are creating jobs it will be at least three years before we even come close to creating enough jobs to get it down to the level of the Bush years (4.0 to 5.8%) (BLS). Gallup is predicting a rate of 8.6% and In-Trade is looking at 8.8% for March 2012.  This will not be good news for the Obama Administration who is coming off a week of missteps, misspeaks and blunders. One can only wonder when the hemorrhaging is going to stop.

ObamaCare Costs are Out of this World

We all remember those infamous words when President Obama pledged that the legislation would cost “around $900 million over ten years”. We knew he was not telling the truth then and he’s not telling the truth now. The truth (if you want to call it that) finally came out compliments of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).  The democrats knew. The republicans knew. My two year old niece knew.  It was all a big lie to sell the American people into believing what some of us already knew, ObamaCare was a bad idea and the cost was going to cost trillions of dollars and not billions of dollars that this country could ill afford.

On Monday March 12, the CBO announced revised figures about the true cost of ObamaCare based on new estimates. I hope you are sitting down. It's going to be $1.76 billion dollars over ten a ten year period starting in January 2013.  What you are thinking at this moment cannot be printed. If it could be, it would probably include several familiar words.  You are more than welcome to mumble them to yourself.

SEBELIUS HAS “NO IDEA” WHAT’S IN OBAMACARE AND WHAT IT WILL COST

On Wednesday March 7, 2012 HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius went before the Appropriations Subcommittee at a hearing on the new health care program.  Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) was questioning Sebelius on a number of issues and at times appeared confused by the questions that were being asked.  Johnson challenged Sibelius over claims that the new health care law will reduce the deficit over the next ten years.  Her response to a number of questions was that she had “no idea” what Johnson was talking about.

Listening to this testimony by someone of her supposed intellect would make a grown man cry. It did not exactly exude an air of confidence and if this is the best that we can expect from a top official within the Obama Administration we are monumentally screwed.

Rush Limbaugh, Sandra Fluke and the Main Stream Media

Correct me if I am wrong but is Rush Limbaugh running for President?  It's not that it would a bad idea in the scheme of things, but with all that has been written about him lately and not the real issues plaguing our country you would think that the main stream media would have more important things to write about. Who are the democrats running against, Rush Limbaugh or the four remaining presidential candidates? Whether I support Limbaugh for what he said about Sandra Fluke is not the issue. Its a lot bigger than that. The issue is that the MSM is using this as an excuse to cover up the abysmal failure at the hands of the Obama Administration. Americans are smarter than that and they will not be fooled by the deflection that is taking place by not only Obama but the liberal media that is hell bent on getting him elected to another four year term.  No news is good news for the democrats if they think they are going to pull this off and suck us in to believing the lies.  Its not going to happen.  You know the real truth and its not going to change anything. We were fooled once, never again.

Has Congress Become Institutionalized??

Definition of institutionalized:  Having become an established custom or an accepted part of the structure of a large organization or society because of having existed for so long.

Now that you know the meaning, we can now all agree that Congress fits in this category. Seven members of Congress that have become institutionalized at different levels need to be shown the door today in order of years in congress are as follows:

1. Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) 14th Congressional District, Elected 1964
2. Congressman Pete Stark (D-CA) 13th Congressional District, Elected 1972
3. Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA) 30th Congressional District, Elected 1975
4. Congressman Jim Clyburn (D-SC) 6th Congressional District Elected 1992
5. Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) 10th Congressional District, Elected 1996
6. Congressman John Tierney (D-MA) 6th Congressional District, Elected 1996
7. Congresswoman Laura Richardson (D-CA) 37th Congressional District Elected 2007

We have become so accustomed to electing the same people year after year, that it’s easy to forget that they serve at the pleasure of their constituents. The time has some to clean house and elect representatives that are going to start working for us and not for their own self interests.  The seven have served 182 years of combined service from John Conyers who has served 48 years to Laura Richardson who has only served 5 years.  It does not take a Rhoades Scholar to figure out career politicians should be destined for the scrap pile and this is the year to do it.

Let’s start with the newest of the seven and that would be Rep. Laura Richardson of California.  She has definitely made a name for herself in five short years in Congress.  Richardson was elected in a special election in 2007 to fill a vacancy resulting from the death of Juanita Millender-McDonald. In 2011 Richardson was named by Judicial Watch as one of the “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians”.  In addition to this she has been accused of numerous ethics violations relating to the use government employees for political purposes when she allegedly ordered aides to work on her campaign on government time. Rep. Richardson has claimed racial bias as a reason for the charges. A change of districts means Richardson is being challenged by new democrat Rep. Janice Hahn, who was elected in a special election in June 2011.

John Tierney who hails from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has had his share of problems since being elected in 1996, beating two-term Congressman Rep. Peter Torkildsen in a hard fought battle. In 2010 his wife Patrice Tierney was charged in U.S District Court to four counts of “aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns” by her brother, Robert. She pled guilty and was later sentenced to 30 days in prison and five months of house arrest. Even with this black cloud hanging over his head during the 2010 Congressional campaign and a tough challenge from Bill Hudak, the heavily democratic district decided to re-elect Tierney to office for an eighth term. Let’s not see him elected to a ninth term.

Update: On Tuesday March 6, Rep. Dennis Kucinich was voted out in the primary, by  fellow Democrat Rep. Marcy Kaptur due to redistricting. She will face-off against Republican Samuel (Joe the Plumber) Wurzelbacher in the general election on November 6, 2012.

Since Dennis Kucinich was elected to represent the citizens of Ohio’s10th Congressional District in 1996 he has been one of the most liberal members of Congress voting along party lines over 90% of the time.    During his challenging years as Mayor of Cleveland from 1977 to 1979, he survived a recall election but was voted out of office by Republican George Voinovich.  In January of this year Kucinich along with four of his democratic colleagues sponsored the “Gas Price Spike Act of 2012”. The tax would be from 50 percent to 100 percent of the “surplus earnings.” It would be administered by another mammoth new government bureaucracy, the Reasonable Profits Board. The issue with this bill is no one knows what “surplus earnings” means.  It is just another tax that would be passed along to consumers by way of higher gas prices.  What we need is less tax and spend, and more fiscal conservatism from Congress and Kucinich is not up this challenge.

Rep. Jim Clyburn has served the good people of South Carolina for almost 20 years but to what end?  In 2009 when Boeing announced that they would be building a facility to build the new 787 Dreamliner he hailed the news as good for South Carolina. Clyburn said, “Boeing is a game-changer for South Carolina” and praised the move by saying “This program here is to further the top three priorities in the state: jobs, more jobs and many more jobs.”  When the NLRB brought a lawsuit against Boeing for “unfair labor practices” Clyburn was conspicuously absent.  His silence on the issue was deafening, because he neither objected to the NLRB lawsuit nor supported it.  It was all about jobs and he did not want to upset the Obama administration’s anti-job agenda. Jobs are the #1 priority in this country and his time as an effective lawmaker has been overshadowed by his indifference to the people that elected him to serve.

Rep. Henry Waxman.  What can be said about him that is not already known?  At 72 years old he is one of the senior members serving in Congress since 1974. He also served from 1969 to 1974 in the California State Assembly.  His current district serves a very rich enclave that includes Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and West Hollywood.  With the new congressional districts that have been approved by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission his district now serves an area that spreads from the mountains of Malibu to the beach communities south to the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I am sorry to say that I am now located in his district.  He is probably going to win this year again.  The only way that we can stop him in his tracks is to make sure that Congress remains in control of the republicans, therefore rendering him ineffective in his democrat agenda which includes “Cap and Tax.

Has anyone noticed how angry Rep. Pete Stark gets when he is addressing his constituent?  These are the same people that they have elected him to serve them and not the other way around.  It is profoundly noticeable when he is questioned about his policies and if he does not like the question he deflects to his default position, “anger”.  Having been elected in 1972 which by the way is the same year that Richard Nixon won 49 of the 50 states against George McGovern it is hard to believe that a democrat got elected to anything that year. Since 1998 he has won his district with over 70% of the vote.  He is a tough opponent in a highly democratic district but with right candidate in this volatile climate, he is beatable.  You just have to ask yourself, “Is he the best for the job at hand”?

Detroit has become the poster child for 50 years of democrat control and if Rep. John Conyers has anything to say about it since he got elected in 1964, it will continue its downward spiral to oblivion.  We have seen the demise of the auto industry at the hands of union control.  As for the American dream of raising a family and having to live a good life, it has turned to despair and misery and one can only imagine what the future holds for the good citizens of Michigan. Detroit was considered one of the great manufacturing cities of the world.  The population of Detroit dropped 25% in the last 10 Years (2010 U.S. Census). There are rows upon rows of empty houses.  Neighborhoods have been decimated by the exodus and there is no end in sight.  The good people of Michigan have been ignored all for the good of the unions. Until you decide to wake up and demand accountability from your representative, it will continue with no end in sight.  It’s time to rid this country of career politicians and Rep. Conyers must go.

For those that are represented by this group, you have to ask yourself if they have done the job that they were elected to do.  In most cases the answer will be no, but they still manage to get your vote time after time. We cannot ignore the hypocrisy any longer. We must vote the incumbents out and get new blood and new ideas flowing that will change the dangerous course that this country is on. We must change the institutionalization of Congress. It is now up to you to further your education with respect to your current representation and draw your own conclusions.  It is you and only you that can make a choice, “Vote for more of the same or time for a change”. I vote for “Change”.”.
