Rep, Corinne Brown (D) By JAVIER MANJARRES
If all else fails, pull the race card. That seems to be the Modus Operandi for black community leaders, activists, and elected officials.
Congresswoman Corrine Brown (D) is following in the footsteps of Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, as well as her fellow Florida colleague in the U.S. Congress, Frederica Wilson (D), by using race to explain why an early voting location situated in a predominantly black community was moved.
Jacksonville’s Supervisor of Elections stated that the reason for the move was to cut back on monthly expenses that exceed $57,000 at the location in question, including utilities.

HOT VIDEO: Ashton Kutcher Stuns Teen Choice Awards with Powerful Conservative Speech
- "I believe that opportunity looks a lot like work," he said. "I never had a job in my life that I was better than. I was always just lucky to have a job. Every job I had was a stepping stone to my next job and I never quit my job before I had my next job."
He went on to talk about the importance of intelligence, which he equated to "being sexy": "The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart. And being thoughtful and being generous. Everything else is crap. I promise you. It's just crap that people try to sell to you to make you feel like less. So don't buy it. Be smart. Be thoughtful and be generous."
Steve Jobs also made his way into Kutcher's speech. The actor, who portrays the Apple co-founder in the upcoming movie "Jobs," said, "Steve Jobs said when you grow up you tend to get told that world is the way that it is."
Kutcher wrapped with: "Everything around us that we call life was made up of people that are no smarter than you. And you can build your own things and you can build your own life that other people can live in. So build a life, don't live one, find your opportunities and always be sexy."

IUPDATED In about-face, Walter Reed opens dining hall to wounded warriors after Fox News reporting Insult to Injury: Wounded warriors snubbed at Walter Reed dining hall
The U.S. military has reversed a string of decisions that would have restricted access for severely wounded troops to a popular dining hall at Walter Reed hospital, after Fox News began reporting on complaints from veterans and their families.
The military earlier this month decided to invalidate meal tickets and reduce hours for the Warrior Cafe, the sole dining facility in building 62 -- home to all multiple amputees and long-term, recovering patients at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
The wife of one of the veterans affected by the decision told Fox News on Thursday that her husband, Sgt. Josh Wetzel, just received confirmation that the military was reversing course.
"Josh just received the news from his squad leader that the Warrior (Cafe) will now be open again on the weekends and meal cards have been reinstated!" Paige Wetzel wrote in an email to Fox News. She said the reporting "influenced positive change here and our soldiers are getting what they deserve again."
The Pentagon earlier claimed they were going to ease off the restrictions.

Obama wants to tack on $5-a-year phone tax to fund high-speed Internet in schools - critics blast 'end run' of Congress and 'endless expansion of program at the expense of rate payers'
That’s one way to “cell” a fee hike.
Unwilling to ask Congress for extra funds to pay for high-speed Internet connections in schools, President Obama is instead looking to tack yet another charge on cellphones through the Federal Communications Commission.
The new program, called ConnectED, would expand an existing school-wiring effort and cost each cellphone user about $5 a year, said White House officials.
In New York City, the ubiquitous mobile devices already carry 10 separate city, state and federal fees and charges — and that doesn’t include sales taxes.
Obama is relying on the fee hike to avoid dealing with a Congress that White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest yesterday described as “dysfunctional.”
“You would think that connecting schools to the information superhighway would be a pretty noncontroversial topic,” Earnest told reporters in Martha’s Vineyard, where the first family is on vacation.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t seen a lot of action in Congress, so the president has advocated an administrative, unilateral action to get this done.”
Administration officials said the added fee would sunset after three years after generating about $6 billion.
But critics worry it would continue forever.
According to an FCC survey, half the nation’s schools reported slower Internet connections than the average home.
Pressed on the program yesterday, Earnest denied the program was an “end run” around Congress.
“This is a program that’s already in place. They just need to make a decision about whether or not they want to update this program so they can wire schools to the Internet. The president thinks that’s a no-brainer,” he said.
[VIDEO] GOP Rep. Kinzinger: Two Days After Benghazi Massacre Hillary Clinton Screamed at Congressman Who Suggested it Was a Terror Attack
At a town hall meeting in Rochelle, Illinois Wednesday evening Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger recalled a time when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "screamed at a member of Congress" in a briefing for suggesting that the September 11, 2012 attack on the US consulate and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya was terrorism.
KINZIMGER: Two days after this attack we were in a briefing with Hillary Clinton and she screamed at a member of Congress who’d dare suggest that this was a terrorist attack. Now we find out that while it was happening they knew it was a terrorist attack. These are answers, we are going to get to the bottom of this.

Obama's Economic Approval Slips to 35%
Was 42% in June; decline mirrors drop in overall approval
PRINCETON, NJ -- Despite President Barack Obama's renewed focus on the nation's economy this summer, he scores worse with Americans on the economy than he did in June. His approval rating on the issue, now 35%, is down seven percentage points, and his ratings on taxes and the federal budget deficit are each down five points. During the same period, his overall approval rating is down three points.
In fact, out of seven issues for which Obama's job performance was rated in the new poll and in June, only the three economy-related ones fell significantly. These are also his lowest issue approval ratings of the nine total issues measured this month. Notably, these declines somewhat parallel the slide Gallup has seen inAmericans' economic confidence over the same period, although confidence picked up slightly this past week.
Obama's approval ratings on race relations, terrorism, and education remain positive on balance, with each changing little since Gallup last measured them. His approval ratings on foreign affairs, immigration, and healthcare policy are all moderately negative but little changed.
Obama Policies Turning Egypt Against U.S.
Pro-military Egyptians want to shift to Russian alliance
The Obama administration support for Muslim Brotherhood Islamists in Egypt is driving the powerful military there against the United States and toward Moscow, according to U.S. officials and reports from the region.
The pro-Muslim stance is undermining decades of U.S. policy toward the Middle East state and prompting concerns that the United States is about to “lose” Egypt as a strategic partner, said officials familiar with intelligence reports.
Disclosure of the concern over the administration’s policy failure in Egypt comes as a security crackdown on pro-Muslim Brotherhood supporters in Cairo resulted in scores killed.
“The Obama administration’s blatant Islamist support is risking the decades-long security arrangement with Egypt,” one U.S. official told the Washington Free Beacon.
“The Egyptians are so upset they might very well give up our support,” the official added, noting the military regime is currently leaning toward seeking backing from Russia, and possibly China in the future.
The United States has provided Egypt with more than $49 billion in both military and economic assistance since 1979. Cairo was viewed as a key strategic partner in the region.
However, the 2011 ouster of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, a long-time U.S. ally, as part of the pro-democracy Arab Spring movement began a shift in U.S. policy. At that time, the Obama administration began covertly backing the Muslim Brotherhood, an anti-democratic Islamist group.
The policy shift was a marked change from past policy. During the 1970s, the United States successfully diverted Egypt’s alignment with Soviet Union under Egyptian leader Gamal Abdel Nasser by developing close ties to Nasser’s successor, Anwar Sadat, and later Mubarak.
Martha’s Vineyard: ‘Birthplace of the Man from Nowhere’s Presidency’
Marxist Misery that is killing off America
There since Saturday, Obama vacationed in Martha’s Vineyard in 2009, 2010 and 2011, missing only last summer when he was running for re-election.
But is it really the lure of the ocean or wanting to get in golfing and family time that keeps bringing him back?
It now turns out that ‘The Presidency of the Man from Nowhere’ both began and continues in Martha’s Vineyard, where uncrowned ‘Queen Behind the Oval office’ Valerie Jarrett is a longtime summer resident.
Senior Obama advisor and Assistant to the President for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, Jarrett, who receives full-time Secret Service Protection, has 24-7 access to Obama White House living quarters, making the Martha’s Vineyard getaways for the two all the more curious.
Madam Jarrett claims huge influence in her power-behind-the-presidency position. “When billionaire investor Warren Buffett showed up for a private lunch with the president last July, the table was set for three.” (New York Times, Sept. 1, 2012). “If Carl Rove was known as George W. Bush’s political brain, Ms. Jarrett is Mr. Obama’s spine.”
“She is is also his gatekeeper.”
Jarrett’s Martha’s Vineyard oceanfront home, within walking distance of the East Chop Beach Club in an area of pricey Oak Bluff, is the Obamas’ perennial ‘Home Away from Home’ that draws Barack and Michelle back like moths to the proverbial flame. According to capecodonline.com, Jarrett owns the Seaview Ave. home.
Many people think Chicago when they think Jarrett. It was in Chicago where she was tagged “slum landlord”.
Treasury Ran $98 Billion Deficit in July--But Debt Stayed Exactly $16,699,396,000,000
The Treasury Department's Financial Management Service (FMS), which publishes both the federal government's official Daily Treasury Statement and its official Monthly Treasury Statement, is reporting that in July the federal government ran a deficit of $98 billion but that the federal government's debt remained exactly $16,699,396,000,000 for the entire month.
The FMS said that the deficit went up $98 billion ($97,594,000,000) in the Monthly Treasury Statment for July, which it released on Monday.
At the same time, the FMS said the debt stayed at exactly $16,699,396,000,000 in its Daily Treasury Statements, which are published every business day. The Daily Treasury Statements show the daily value of the federal government debt that is subject to a legal limit set by Congress.
At the static $16,699,396,000,000 level that the Treasury reported for every day of July, the debt was just $25 million below the legal limit of $16,699,421,000,000 that was set in a law passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama.
If Treasury's daily statements were to declare that the government had borrowed an additional net $98 billion to cover the $98 billion deficit the Treasury declared in its monthly statement for July, the Treasury would be conceding that the government had already surpassed the legal limit on the debt--and has been violating the law by continuing to borrowing additional money.
