There will be more canceled health insurance plans. Every day, more and more Americans are receiving cancellation notices for plans they liked and wanted to keep. And every day, they continue to hear administration officials and their Democratic allies insist that the president didn’t lie about people being able to keep their health insurance plans. Dissatisfaction with Obamacare grows exponentially as people witness family members and colleagues being victimized by the “big lie.”
If you like your doctor, you can’t keep your doctor. Soon the story will break through that a lot of Americans will be losing access to their doctors and will be forced to pick one approved by Obamacare. Health-care plans are instituting very restrictive provider networks to try to keep down costs in the face of astronomically rising premiums. In New Hampshire, for instance, only 16 of the state’s 26 hospitals will be in the network of exchange plans approved by Obamacare. The reaction of voters losing, in some cases, the person who has been their doctor for years could be worse for Democrats than what we are currently seeing in the involuntary loss of insurance plans.
Sticker shock. Prices for health-care plans are not coming down for many voters. Once the Web site starts working and Americans can “shop around” for their new health insurance plans as the president instructed they should do, they are going to experience sticker shock. Premiums and deductibles will be going up for millions of hardworking Americans who can’t afford these increases – especially for coverage they don’t need or want.
Obamacare ads. Throughout the 2014 campaign, Republicans will use footage of Democrats repeating the “big lie” in ads targeting Democrats. The search is on for news clips, town-hall meeting videos, and other instances where Democrats have committed on the record and on video that “if you like your health plan, you can keep it.”

US sees 25 percent surge in women hunters since 2006
The number of American women spending time hunting has spiked 25 percent between 2006 and 2011.
According to Census Bureau statistics cited by National Geographic, while men still make up the majority of the 13.7 million hunters in the United States, 11 percent are women.
Many states, the magazine reports, are now hosting workshops, titled “Becoming An Outdoors-Woman” (BOW), which instruct participants in archery, shotgun and rifle shooting.
"There is definitely a high demand. We have over 3,000 women on our mailing list, and workshops fill up quickly," Patricia Handy, information and education program manager at the Department of Natural Resources in Maryland, told National Geographic.
Minnesota has followed the national trend; the state granted 72,000 hunting licenses to women last year, up from 50,000 in 2000, CBS Minnesota reports.
According to the station, the spike in women hunters also has led retailers to market smaller firearms and outdoor gear specifically to women.

PUBLIC REVOLTS AGAINST OBAMA, POLITICAL ESTABLISHMENT'S AMNESTY EFFORTS
According to new national polling data from Pew Research, the American people have revolted against President Barack Obama’s and the GOP establishment’s efforts to grant amnesty to America’s at least 11 million illegal immigrants through comprehensive immigration reform.
“Only about a third of the public (32%) approves of the job Obama is doing on immigration policy; 60% disapprove,” Pew wrote. “Obama’s ratings for this issue among Democrats are mixed: About half (53%) approve of his handling of the issue while 42% disapprove.”
Obama’s 60 percent disapproval rating on immigration from the American people is an all-time high for him on the issue and puts him on par with former President George W. Bush’s immigration polling numbers. Obama’s immigration disapproval rating has skyrocketed as he has ramped up his efforts to lobby Congress for the passage of an amnesty—particularly the Senate’s “Gang of Eight” immigration bill.
As the American people have learned more and more about the Gang of Eight bill and the effects which amnesty and a drastic influx of millions of new workers would have on the hurting economy, they have grown more and more outraged with what Washington, D.C., is doing regarding immigration reform. In February—before Obama and lawmakers like Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and DIck Durbin (D-IL) began their push for immigration reform—the President's immigration policy approval rating among the American people, according to Pew, was higher than his disapproval rating. His approval rating on immigration then was 44 percent, whereas his disapproval rating was 43 percent.

These are the Next Gay Marriage Battlegrounds
A wave of lawsuits have been filed in courts around the nation since the Supreme Court in June overturned much of the Defense of Marriage Act and California’s ban on same-sex marriage. The rulings effectively opened the floodgates to what has been a gradual push for marriage equality.
“The more people are winning, the more people are stepping up and wanting to become involved and move forward after,” says Evan Wolfson, founder and president of Freedom to Marry. “The more we make it real — the more places gay people share in the freedom to marry — the more people see with their own eyes families helped and no one hurt.”
On Aug. 1, Minnesota and Rhode Island became the 12th and 13th states to allow gay marriage. New Jersey followed suit on Oct. 21, after a judge overturned the state’s ban and Gov. Chris Christie dropped his appeal of the ruling. Illinois became the 15th state (plus Washington D.C.) to approve gay marriage when lawmakers passed a bill on Nov. 5. Gov. Pat Quinn is expected to sign it into law Nov. 20.

So who’s next? Here’s TIME’s guide to the states most likely to legalize gay marriage in the months ahead.

Three California Programmers Create Alternative Healthcare Website
CBS Evening News reports S.F. programmers build alternative to HealthCare.Gov Website
On Friday, President Obama had this to say about problems with the Obamcare website during a speech in New Orleans: "I promise you, nobody's been more frustrated. I wanted to go in and fix it myself, but I don't write code."
But plenty of programmers do write code. And three of them have created their own website that addresses some of the most annoying problems with HealthCare.gov.
In a San Francisco office shared with other tech start-ups, three 20-year-olds saw HealthCare.gov as a challenge.
With a few late nights, Ning Liang, George Kalogeropoulos and Michael Wasser built "thehealthsherpa.com," a two-week-old website that solves one of the biggest problems with the government's site.
"They got it completely backwards in terms of what people want up front," said Liang. He added: "They want prices and benefits, so that they could make the decision."
Liang showed CBS News how it worked. "You come to our website and you put in your zip code -- in this case a California zip code. You hit 'find plans,' and you immediately see the exchange plans that are available for that zip code."

WTF, Nancy Pelosi gun collection discovered
A large collection of weapons were taken from a vacation home owned by Nancy Pelosi (D), a well known advocate of stricter gun laws.
The vacation home, located in the mountains sleepy town of Stoten CO, is in shock from the discovery, made by a local plumber after being called by the care taker of the house for minor flooding.
Local sheriff Rick Raoch said "We don't know how they got there or who put them there, but there's enough guns and ammo down there to start WWIII. No one needs that type of weaponry."
So far, calls to the Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives have met with silence, but a response from her office is expected shortly.

The European Crisis (and American Future?) of too Many Over-Compensated Bureaucrats
The only sustainable way of achieving more prosperity and higher living standards is to increase the quality and quantity of labor and capital in the economy.
This may sound like boring econo-speak, but labor and capital are the two “factors of production” and our ability to consume is limited by what we can produce.
That’s one of the reasons why it’s important to reduce the burden of government spending.
People sometimes assume it’s important to reduce the budget to lower the threat of tax hikes. That is a good reason to impose fiscal discipline, but it’s presumably even more important to restrain spending because we don’t want labor and capital being misallocated by fiscal policy.
A big public sector, after all, presumably means a large bureaucracy. And when you have lots of people employed by government, that means that they’re not working in the private sector. In other words, they’re consuming economic output rather than adding to economic output.*
Or, as these cartoons illustrate, they’re riding in the wagon rather than pulling the wagon.
This is why advocates of economic growth should strive to limit the amount of bureaucrats and how much they’re paid. The bad news is that the public sector is far too large in the United States, and that means (as explained in this video) we have too many over-compensated bureaucrats.
[VIDEO] George Will: Other Than Nixon ‘Has There Ever Been a Worse First Year of a Second Term?’
Syndicated columnist George Will asked a marvelous question Sunday that few in the liberal media will.
Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Will said, “Has there ever – with the exception of Richard Nixon in 1973 - been a worse first year of a second term?” (video follows with transcript and commentary):
CHRIS WALLACE, HOST: George, your thoughts about the President’s apology.GEORGE WILL: Well, it’s one thing for Bill Clinton to say, “I feel your pain.” It’s another thing for Barack Obama to say, “I feel your pain that I have caused,” and for him to say it was caused by a situation. That’s the word he used in the operative sentence. We this week marked the one year anniversary of his re-election. Has there ever – with the exception of Richard Nixon in 1973 - been a worse first year of a second term? The Pew survey this week has approval of his performance on healthcare – healthcare, his signature issue - disapproval 59 percent. That’s a little bit less than the 60 percent disapproval on immigration and 65 percent on the economy. And now the Democrats are going to get to vote on some things maybe, or at least Mr. Reid will have to stop them in the Senate. Here’s for example the “If You Like Your Health Plan You Can Keep It Act” from Senator Ron Johnson. It’s four pages long which makes it 902 pages shorter than the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. And these are opportunities for discomfort for the supporters of the Affordable Care Act.
Fabulous question - one that virtually all media members and outlets would be asking if Obama had an "R" next to his name.

White Texas Conservative Wins Election by Pretending to Be Black
Dave Wilson, a white, conservative anti-LGBT activist running in a largely African American district in Houston, pulled off a strange upset victory in the race for Houston Community College Board of Trustees last week after he led voters to believe he was black.
Wilson distributed direct mail pieces, adorned with pictures of African Americans that Wilson admitted to pulling off the internet, that read “Please vote for our friend and neighbor Dave Wilson.” The fliers also claimed an endorsement by “Ron Wilson”—the name of a longtime African American state representative from the area, but also the name of one of Wilson’s relatives in Iowa. In the fine print, the flier noted “Ron Wilson and Dave Wilson are cousins.”
“He’s a nice cousin,” Wilson told KHOU. “We played baseball in high school together. And he’s endorsed me.”
Wilson, who did not deny the subterfuge, also produced the following radio ad:

Wasserman Schultz: "Democratic Candidates Will Be Able To Run On Obamacare As An Advantage"
THREE WORDS: "DELUSIONAL, DELUSIONAL DELUSIONAL"
CANDY CROWLEY: If you look at 2014, if you look at this through the prism of 2014, you don't think that Obamacare will weigh heavily on Democratic elections?
DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: I think Obamacare, because Americans have been feeling the benefits since 2010, where young adults can stay on their parents' insurance until they're 26, where on January 1st if you have a pre-existing condition, like I do as you know, as a breast cancer survivor. The peace of mind that those Americans are going to have knowing that they can never be dropped or denied coverage for that pre-existing condition, the preventative care that is available without a co-pay or a deductible. Those are benefits that Americans have been feeling and will increasingly feel as Obamacare is fully implemented. So, I think, actually Candy, that Democratic candidates will be able to run on Obamacare as an advantage leading into the 2014 election.

Colorado Woman Who Championed Obamacare Loses Insurance Plan
DENVER (CBS4) - President Barack Obama is apologizing to Americans who are losing their current health insurance plans. Millions of people are getting cancellation notices, including about 250,000 Coloradans.
For years the president said that those who like their current plan would be able to keep it, but it turns out that’s not the case.
In order to comply with the Affordable Care Act insurance companies have had to cancel millions of policies, forcing people to find new, and in many cases, more expensive coverage on the exchange.
The Colorado Division of Insurance says 250,000 people in Colorado alone have lost their policies in the last few months.
Cathy Wagner says she isn’t political and has never written a lawmaker, much less the president, but with Obamacare she felt compelled.
“I really just wanted him to know … I was so hopeful that this plan was going to move us forward, but in fact I think it’s moving us backward,” Wagner said.
RELATED: Colorado & The Affordable Care Act
Wagner and her husband retired early. She was a nurse for 35 years and championed Obamacare, until she received a letter from her insurance company saying it was canceling her policy.
“I was really shocked … all of my hopes were sort of dashed,” Wagner said. “’Oh my gosh President Obama, this is not what we hoped for, it’s not what we were told.’ “
She was shocked further to learn that for the same coverage she would pay 35 percent more and have a higher deductible.
“Our premium for next year is going up to over $1,000 a month for two of us and we’re two fairly healthy individuals,” Wagner said.
Obama raises cash with Hollywood 'Friends'
President Obama will make up a postponed Hollywood fundraiser at the home of "Friends" co-creator Marta Kauffman later this month, according to a report in Variety.
The $32,400-per-plate event to benefit the Democratic National Committee had originally been slated for early September. But the president was forced to scrap his trip to Los Angeles ahead of a congressional vote to authorize a military strike against Syria.
That vote was eventually postponed, after the Assad regime agreed to a deal that averted U.S. action in exchange for turning over its chemical weapons stockpile.
The glitzy roundtable discussion will take place at the home of "Friends" producer Marta Kauffman on the morning of Nov. 26.
The president will also appear at an event benefiting House Democrats the prior day at the Los Angeles home of NBA legend Magic Johnson. Tickets to that event range between $2,500 to $15,000 per person.
Later that day, Obama will attend a dinner at the home of Hollywood producer Haim Saban. Saban's company owns Spanish-language television channel Univison and produces children's television shows, including the popular "Power Rangers" franchise.
Tickets to that event start at $16,200 per person, or $32,400 per couple, according to the Hollywood trade publication.
