No Good Path to Re-election for Obama

The number of negative events that have hit President Obama this week is not unprecedented but the quality of the bad news (9 on a scale of 1 to 10) should make one think that he is not electable. That’s the good news. The bad news is don't count him out yet.

In the past week we have seen a serious mic gaffe at the nuclear summit and while he was trying to walk back his comments that no one was buying, his top legal minds were getting beaten up in front of the Supreme Court. It was so bad that Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, had to be thrown a lifetime by the liberal justices (I think they truly felt sorry for him). Gas prices continue to rise to unprecedented levels. A recent poll shows 68% of Americans are angry at the president, his approval rating is hovering around 41%, and we won't even mention his comments about Trayvon Martin which has taken us in so many directions it's hard to keep track. The former DNC chairman Howard Dean predicted that the individual mandate would be declared unconstitutional. Current DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz in staying true to her fantasy thinking says that Obama's base is “pretty darn excited” as they were in 2008. I think not. All of this leaves Obama in a very precarious position. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Unemployment Rates to be Reported Friday April 6

On Friday April 6 the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) will report the March unemployment numbers. We should be reminded again that it does not even come close to painting the real picture of what's going on.  Regardless of the results the democrats have only one way to spin it and as much as we like to hear positive news when it comes to the economy, it still smells fishy.  The four week moving average for new claims according to the BLS is 365,000 vs. 401,000 for the same period in 2011.

The December unemployment rate was 8.7% and dropped to 8.3% for January and February. This only tells part of the story as 1.2 million employable people dropped off the radar or just stopped looking. The participation rate which measures the labor force as a percent of the civilian noninstitutional population climbed slightly to 63.9% in February from 63.7% in January.  The participation rate is the lowest since 1984. In the 2011 the civilian population rose by almost 3.6 million, yet the labor force only rose 1.1 million. Those not in the labor force rose by almost 2.5 million. If people were not dropping out of the labor force the unemployment rate would be well over 11%.  According to Gallup, the underemployment rate is hovering around 18%.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that at the rate we are creating jobs it will be at least three years before we even come close to creating enough jobs to get it down to the level of the Bush years (4.0 to 5.8%) (BLS). Gallup is predicting a rate of 8.6% and In-Trade is looking at 8.8% for March 2012.  This will not be good news for the Obama Administration who is coming off a week of missteps, misspeaks and blunders. One can only wonder when the hemorrhaging is going to stop.

ObamaCare Costs are Out of this World

We all remember those infamous words when President Obama pledged that the legislation would cost “around $900 million over ten years”. We knew he was not telling the truth then and he’s not telling the truth now. The truth (if you want to call it that) finally came out compliments of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).  The democrats knew. The republicans knew. My two year old niece knew.  It was all a big lie to sell the American people into believing what some of us already knew, ObamaCare was a bad idea and the cost was going to cost trillions of dollars and not billions of dollars that this country could ill afford.

On Monday March 12, the CBO announced revised figures about the true cost of ObamaCare based on new estimates. I hope you are sitting down. It's going to be $1.76 billion dollars over ten a ten year period starting in January 2013.  What you are thinking at this moment cannot be printed. If it could be, it would probably include several familiar words.  You are more than welcome to mumble them to yourself.

SEBELIUS HAS “NO IDEA” WHAT’S IN OBAMACARE AND WHAT IT WILL COST

On Wednesday March 7, 2012 HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius went before the Appropriations Subcommittee at a hearing on the new health care program.  Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) was questioning Sebelius on a number of issues and at times appeared confused by the questions that were being asked.  Johnson challenged Sibelius over claims that the new health care law will reduce the deficit over the next ten years.  Her response to a number of questions was that she had “no idea” what Johnson was talking about.

Listening to this testimony by someone of her supposed intellect would make a grown man cry. It did not exactly exude an air of confidence and if this is the best that we can expect from a top official within the Obama Administration we are monumentally screwed.

Rush Limbaugh, Sandra Fluke and the Main Stream Media

Correct me if I am wrong but is Rush Limbaugh running for President?  It's not that it would a bad idea in the scheme of things, but with all that has been written about him lately and not the real issues plaguing our country you would think that the main stream media would have more important things to write about. Who are the democrats running against, Rush Limbaugh or the four remaining presidential candidates? Whether I support Limbaugh for what he said about Sandra Fluke is not the issue. Its a lot bigger than that. The issue is that the MSM is using this as an excuse to cover up the abysmal failure at the hands of the Obama Administration. Americans are smarter than that and they will not be fooled by the deflection that is taking place by not only Obama but the liberal media that is hell bent on getting him elected to another four year term.  No news is good news for the democrats if they think they are going to pull this off and suck us in to believing the lies.  Its not going to happen.  You know the real truth and its not going to change anything. We were fooled once, never again.

Has Congress Become Institutionalized??

Definition of institutionalized:  Having become an established custom or an accepted part of the structure of a large organization or society because of having existed for so long.

Now that you know the meaning, we can now all agree that Congress fits in this category. Seven members of Congress that have become institutionalized at different levels need to be shown the door today in order of years in congress are as follows:

1. Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) 14th Congressional District, Elected 1964
2. Congressman Pete Stark (D-CA) 13th Congressional District, Elected 1972
3. Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA) 30th Congressional District, Elected 1975
4. Congressman Jim Clyburn (D-SC) 6th Congressional District Elected 1992
5. Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) 10th Congressional District, Elected 1996
6. Congressman John Tierney (D-MA) 6th Congressional District, Elected 1996
7. Congresswoman Laura Richardson (D-CA) 37th Congressional District Elected 2007

We have become so accustomed to electing the same people year after year, that it’s easy to forget that they serve at the pleasure of their constituents. The time has some to clean house and elect representatives that are going to start working for us and not for their own self interests.  The seven have served 182 years of combined service from John Conyers who has served 48 years to Laura Richardson who has only served 5 years.  It does not take a Rhoades Scholar to figure out career politicians should be destined for the scrap pile and this is the year to do it.

Let’s start with the newest of the seven and that would be Rep. Laura Richardson of California.  She has definitely made a name for herself in five short years in Congress.  Richardson was elected in a special election in 2007 to fill a vacancy resulting from the death of Juanita Millender-McDonald. In 2011 Richardson was named by Judicial Watch as one of the “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians”.  In addition to this she has been accused of numerous ethics violations relating to the use government employees for political purposes when she allegedly ordered aides to work on her campaign on government time. Rep. Richardson has claimed racial bias as a reason for the charges. A change of districts means Richardson is being challenged by new democrat Rep. Janice Hahn, who was elected in a special election in June 2011.

John Tierney who hails from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has had his share of problems since being elected in 1996, beating two-term Congressman Rep. Peter Torkildsen in a hard fought battle. In 2010 his wife Patrice Tierney was charged in U.S District Court to four counts of “aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns” by her brother, Robert. She pled guilty and was later sentenced to 30 days in prison and five months of house arrest. Even with this black cloud hanging over his head during the 2010 Congressional campaign and a tough challenge from Bill Hudak, the heavily democratic district decided to re-elect Tierney to office for an eighth term. Let’s not see him elected to a ninth term.

Update: On Tuesday March 6, Rep. Dennis Kucinich was voted out in the primary, by  fellow Democrat Rep. Marcy Kaptur due to redistricting. She will face-off against Republican Samuel (Joe the Plumber) Wurzelbacher in the general election on November 6, 2012.

Since Dennis Kucinich was elected to represent the citizens of Ohio’s10th Congressional District in 1996 he has been one of the most liberal members of Congress voting along party lines over 90% of the time.    During his challenging years as Mayor of Cleveland from 1977 to 1979, he survived a recall election but was voted out of office by Republican George Voinovich.  In January of this year Kucinich along with four of his democratic colleagues sponsored the “Gas Price Spike Act of 2012”. The tax would be from 50 percent to 100 percent of the “surplus earnings.” It would be administered by another mammoth new government bureaucracy, the Reasonable Profits Board. The issue with this bill is no one knows what “surplus earnings” means.  It is just another tax that would be passed along to consumers by way of higher gas prices.  What we need is less tax and spend, and more fiscal conservatism from Congress and Kucinich is not up this challenge.

Rep. Jim Clyburn has served the good people of South Carolina for almost 20 years but to what end?  In 2009 when Boeing announced that they would be building a facility to build the new 787 Dreamliner he hailed the news as good for South Carolina. Clyburn said, “Boeing is a game-changer for South Carolina” and praised the move by saying “This program here is to further the top three priorities in the state: jobs, more jobs and many more jobs.”  When the NLRB brought a lawsuit against Boeing for “unfair labor practices” Clyburn was conspicuously absent.  His silence on the issue was deafening, because he neither objected to the NLRB lawsuit nor supported it.  It was all about jobs and he did not want to upset the Obama administration’s anti-job agenda. Jobs are the #1 priority in this country and his time as an effective lawmaker has been overshadowed by his indifference to the people that elected him to serve.

Rep. Henry Waxman.  What can be said about him that is not already known?  At 72 years old he is one of the senior members serving in Congress since 1974. He also served from 1969 to 1974 in the California State Assembly.  His current district serves a very rich enclave that includes Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and West Hollywood.  With the new congressional districts that have been approved by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission his district now serves an area that spreads from the mountains of Malibu to the beach communities south to the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I am sorry to say that I am now located in his district.  He is probably going to win this year again.  The only way that we can stop him in his tracks is to make sure that Congress remains in control of the republicans, therefore rendering him ineffective in his democrat agenda which includes “Cap and Tax.

Has anyone noticed how angry Rep. Pete Stark gets when he is addressing his constituent?  These are the same people that they have elected him to serve them and not the other way around.  It is profoundly noticeable when he is questioned about his policies and if he does not like the question he deflects to his default position, “anger”.  Having been elected in 1972 which by the way is the same year that Richard Nixon won 49 of the 50 states against George McGovern it is hard to believe that a democrat got elected to anything that year. Since 1998 he has won his district with over 70% of the vote.  He is a tough opponent in a highly democratic district but with right candidate in this volatile climate, he is beatable.  You just have to ask yourself, “Is he the best for the job at hand”?

Detroit has become the poster child for 50 years of democrat control and if Rep. John Conyers has anything to say about it since he got elected in 1964, it will continue its downward spiral to oblivion.  We have seen the demise of the auto industry at the hands of union control.  As for the American dream of raising a family and having to live a good life, it has turned to despair and misery and one can only imagine what the future holds for the good citizens of Michigan. Detroit was considered one of the great manufacturing cities of the world.  The population of Detroit dropped 25% in the last 10 Years (2010 U.S. Census). There are rows upon rows of empty houses.  Neighborhoods have been decimated by the exodus and there is no end in sight.  The good people of Michigan have been ignored all for the good of the unions. Until you decide to wake up and demand accountability from your representative, it will continue with no end in sight.  It’s time to rid this country of career politicians and Rep. Conyers must go.

For those that are represented by this group, you have to ask yourself if they have done the job that they were elected to do.  In most cases the answer will be no, but they still manage to get your vote time after time. We cannot ignore the hypocrisy any longer. We must vote the incumbents out and get new blood and new ideas flowing that will change the dangerous course that this country is on. We must change the institutionalization of Congress. It is now up to you to further your education with respect to your current representation and draw your own conclusions.  It is you and only you that can make a choice, “Vote for more of the same or time for a change”. I vote for “Change”.”.

A NOTE TO MAXINE WATERS

I am writing this note to you on behalf of the American people. In 1990 you were elected to serve your constituents and the citizens of the United States. You were given the “PRIVILEGE” of serving them, but you have done nothing but line your pockets off the backs of your constituents and nothing more. You have become rich while the people in your district are suffering even more than ever. You are an embarrassment to your office and do not deserve to hold theoffice that you have been elected to. Your continued hate speeches do nothing but enrage and divide. You continue to embarrass yourself and your party every day that you are inoffice. You have no ideas to bring forth so you vilify those that do.

You have been named as one of the top ten corrupt politicians in congress time and time again yet you continue unabated and act like you are a victim. You are not a victim but you continue to victimize all of those around you. You have told the tea party to go to hell and you have called two esteemed leaders Speaker of the House Boehner and Congressman Cantor "DEMONS". This is disrespectful to them and the people they serve and “WE THE PEOPLE” and you should be admonished for this. These are not the words that should ever be coming from a member of Congress.

It is an abomination and an insult to the America I love and the America you live in to continue to speak in a way that weakens all of us. It is a daunting task to run this country and you have done nothing to help and everything to undermine those you are supposed to serve. Until the day you are swept from office I will continue to expose you for who you are and nothing less. It's time for you to say goodbye and write your book of lies.

Sheila Jackson Lee - Your Time is up.

People have lost their fervor for this country because of people like Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX).  She astounds us with her continuous chorus of racism but does nothing to stop it.  She and others in the democrat party are the reason this country is on a permanent downward trend.  Have they done anything positive in the past fifty years to help this country?  The answer is clearly no.  The vitriolic fanning of the flames has got to stop and stop now. The democrat party has nothing new to offer. Their only path to victory is to cast aspersions upon those among us that do care about this country. The leadership in this country has failed us.

Recently, Rep. Lee marked the 400th day of the GOP do nothing congress.  She said “Americans cannot afford another year of a Republican Congress that fails to focus on jobs, refuses to strengthen our middle class, and tries to end Medicare guarantee.” None of the accusations are true. The Republican controlled House has passed nearly 30 common sense jobs bills since regaining control of Congress in 2010. All of the bills are stalled in the Senate by Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV).  Rep. Lee only has to look to the democrats in the Senate to see where the problem lies, but she is blinded by her own agenda. Time and time again President Obama has proposed jobs bills that do nothing but increase the deficit and his past history in this area have been a total failure in terms of job creation.

Recently it was reported that $60 million in earmarks went to college’s that employed relatives of lawmakers.  Included was $5.25 million that was directed to Rep. Lee’s husband while he was vice president of student affairs and vice chancellor at the University of Houston.  Even though she was just one of many, it highlights the improprieties that occur with regularity in Congress and must be stopped. In another questionable statement Rep. Lee admonished Pepsi for an ad that ran during the super bowl last year. At that time she said that the ad was “Insulting to woman of all colors”.

We have a serious problem in this country.  In the past Rep. Lee has stooped to the level of nonsense that can only come from a democrat.  On February 10th Rep. Lee had the temerity to say “Republican’s want to take away the essence of all religious faith”, yet is it her hero President Obama who wants to scrap Article 1 of the Bill of Rights that says “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.

Is this the essence of the people that we want running our government?  The democrats have gone out of their way to accuse republicans of racism.  Martin Luther King said “I look for the day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character”. When we decide who is most qualified we should look for those that have the ability to bring people together and not divide them. Race bating does not bring people together and does everything to divide us. We have to make sure they make the right choices for those of us that they represent.  We do not want those among us that are running for their own personal agenda. It is time to replace those that have taken us and government for granted and elect a new breed of politician to deliver this country back to where we once were.  The democrats have done nothing but take a dependent approach to the problems facing this country. It is time for wholesale change and no stone should be unturned to find and elect people that truly care about America.

Support the F-35

With Iran and North Korea continuing to pose a threat in very different parts of the world, the U.S. cannot let down our guard.

Proposals to cut our military are ill-conceived and dangerous.  The F-35 is an important part of defending our country and our allies.  With countries like China and Russia developing their own stealth fighters, we need to keep up production of the Joint Strike Fighter and fend off attempts by Congress and the administration to undermine it.

Do your part and tell your Congressman that you support the F-35 fifth-generation stealth jet - the most advanced multirole aircraft ever designed.  Visit www.f35.com for more information.Support the F-35.

OBAMA MUST GO

In the past couple of weeks I have been called out by a number the readers on the topic of my weekly blog postings. Their main concern was that my reporting on the presidential primary season has been conspicuously absent. The only response I have is “Guilty as Charged”.  And with that said I would like to explain my logic. The subjects that I have been concentrating on are the happenings within the Obama Administration and the destruction they are serving up on a daily basis.

I have discussed Obamacare, jobs, ACORN and many others. This has been a well-planned out strategy to address the issues that are facing this country and meet them head on.  We can talk about the presidential primary season at length if needed but we already know that we want Obama out of the White House. Anything that I can say about the primary process pales on comparison to the information that Americans need to know about the subjects that they will not read in the main stream media.

I am doing what I feel is necessary to dethrone Obama from his imperial Presidency in any way that I can.  You could say that I am a one man army capable of anything, but this is not the case.  I am counting on all the people to fight the cause as hard as I am. During the Bush presidency the press did not have any trouble blasting him at every corner no matter what he did good, bad, or indifferent.  The liberal press is not following the same logic when it comes to Obama and his band of merry men and women.  They have ignored his American killing policies at every turn.  They have turned him into a hero of the people which is the farthest from the truth that you can get.

His latest antics have caused many of us anguish and concern with his usurping of Congress and the Constitution. He has named four more of his radical friends to positions in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the NLRB all in the name of expediency, total control and politics to further his “I can do anything I want and who’s going to stop me” campaign. But in the name of fairness I have to give him credit for his asking Congress to consolidate six agencies into one, eliminate the Department of Commerce and save us $300 Billion over 10 years.  This equates to savings of about 1/400 of the $1.2 trillion increase in the debt limit that the president is seeking from Congress.  This is perfect timing as it gives him another blank check to spend until after the November election. And by the way the 1000 to 2000 jobs that this consolidation will eliminate through attrition are small potatoes compared to the 200,000 plus jobs he has added since taking office.  It’s up to you to decide if this is an election ploy or he is doing this for the good of “We the People”.

This past week has seen him replace his Chief-of-Staff again (This is number 3).  He has picked none other than Jack Lew, another Wall Street insider who reaped millions in benefits from his past employers by betting against the collapse of the housing market.  If that weren’t enough to handle, he has promoted Cecilia Munoz as Director of the Domestic Policy Council.  She came to the White House in 2009 from The National Council for La Raza which has strong ties to ACORN, SEIU, and George Soros.  It is any wonder that this president has used “We need four more years to finish what we started” in his never ending campaign.

I have done my best to keep people informed of the little things that the White House has done and kept below the radar by the liberal press.  Now it is your job to pass this information to others and do what is right for this country by electing a Republican as next President of the United States.  It is up to us to do the right thing and win this country back from those that are intent on destroying us.

Debbie Wasserman Shultz, Thank you for not Being a Republican

Recently we have seen an upturn in the number of members of the democrats that have taken to the cleaners by not only the conservative media but from people in their own party. This includes the main stream media and the left wing ideologues on the talk shows that have also been proved wrong in front of their audiences. Lawrence O’Donnell, Chris Mathews and Ed Shultz from MSNBC again proved that there rhetoric is not fooling anyone including John Sununu former Governor of New Hampshire on the night of the NH Primaries.  But I will have to say they did keep their cool when they continued to get horsewhipped on every subject they touched on.

But my all-time favorite person that has a history of bending the truth is none other than current DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz. She has to be the epitome of what is wrong with the Democrat party on all levels.  She has time and time again tried valiantly to convince those among us that the direction that this country is heading is correct and the only way to go. In her recent attempt to justify Romney’s “Loses” in Iowa and New Hampshire she used almost the same talking points.  She said that “It was a bad night for Romney, A great night for Democrats” in Iowa and “He came out of this primary as a wounded candidate” in New Hampshire.  Even Mitt Romney felt sorry for her.  And it’s hard not to overlook that the incumbent president only got 86% of the vote in the democrat caucuses, and he ran unopposed.

She has continued to amaze us all as she continues to blame the Tea Party for the Tucson shootings and her continued support of the Occupy Wall Street movement which includes the stabbing of a police officer in NYC on January 2, 2012.  She had this to say about the Tea Party shortly thereafter “You had town hall meetings that (the Tea Party) tried to take over, and you saw the same type of conduct at those town hall meetings.  When they come in and disagree, you are not just wrong, you’re the enemy”.  There have been millions of people that have attended Tea Party rallies all over the country and there have been no arrests, unlike the OWS encampments that have had seen arrests in the thousands.

At other times she has said that the republicans have declared “a war on woman”, and taking our voting laws “literally back to Jim Crow”.  When asked by David Gregory of NBC after she claimed that President Obama was able to “turn the economy around” Gregory responded, "Whoa, whoa.  Let me just stop you there. Clearly, the economy has not been turned around.  You just saw those numbers.  Americans don't believe that's the case."  And again she blamed George Bush as everyone in their party still continues to do.  These comments along with many others have to keep you wondering why she is allowed to open her mouth let alone not be shown the door.

All the while that she is traversing the country in support of this administration with her dime store rhetoric, she has left her constituents that have continually elected her since 2004 fending for themselves.  It is hard to imagine that she would ever get elected in the first place, no less four times.  It is at times like this that I am glad that she is not a republican.  If she would have done for the republicans what she has done for the democrats we would be a third world country.  Oh wait, this “IS” where we are headed.

Time to Get Back to Basics and Elect a New President

Since 2009 we have endured a government out of control, partisan bickering like nothing we have seen in our life time, ballooning deficits and a president who thinks that sharing the wealth is the way this country should be run.  While he is out golfing (90 times at last count), and flying around the county campaigning for four more years of misery, we as a nation are in steep decline.  There has been no leadership to speak of from anyone and the most important election of our lifetime is just ten months away.  Legislation is going to screech to a grinding halt at all levels and no one at the helm seems to care that we have had no budget in three years and a spending problem that shows no signs of abating.

Some analysts tell us that we are in a recovery while others say that it will be years before we see any noticeable improvement and the economic indicators are all over the map.  If the economists can’t agree how do they expect the average citizen to figure it out?  Congress is in a free fall and with a 12% approval rating we have stopped trusting them to do what’s right for the American people.

Now that the holidays are behind us it’s time to ramp up the pressure in the upcoming election.  We have to give it to the democrats with both barrels if we are turn this country around.  The last three years have brought us to the brink of bankruptcy with this administration in charge of our country.  This regime is using policies that have known nothing but failure in the past by every president that has tried yet they are still intent on trying them again with the same results. We must not, we must not, we must not elect this president again for his failures are the countries failures.

How many more times are we going to hear the term “Millionaires and Billionaires” being bantered about by millionaires in our government.  They are delivering a message to themselves but not one of them has come forward to donate one penny to pay for their plan.  They are talking the talk but when it comes to walking the walk they are nowhere to be found.

We have lost all faith in our leaders from the top down. The only road that the democrats see is the road to failure.  Time after time we have been promised everything and some have been suckered into believing the message, only to find out that we have been lied to again.   Now is not the time to be complacent.  We can’t just wake up one morning and say, ‘I wish I had done something when I had the chance’.  It’s not enough to expect someone else to effect change.  It is up to each and every one of us to get involved.

Common sense thinking must be at the top of the list of priorities.  We have all seen what has happened in other countries and if it we keep on this path it could happen here as well.  We don’t have the luxury of turning to other countries to bail us out.  We are all alone in the world.  Let us not fall prey to the obvious.  Now is the time to elect a  new President and Congress that will do what it takes.  The game is in your hands and you must win at all costs or it we be the end of this country as we know it.

These are a few of the quotes from this year however it would not be a complete list if it did not include an all-time favorite from March 2010 when Nancy Pelosi said,

“But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it away from the fog of the controversy” – When referring to ObamaCare and the passage of the bill. – March 2010

One can only wonder how some of these people keep on getting elected year after year.  If you thought that 2011 was a good year for quotes, one can only imagine what will come out their mouths in 2012.  Let us just wait and see.  May we all have a healthy and prosperous new year.

And so this is Christmas.....

Another Christmas is upon us and it is time to think back to the year that we all have had.  There have been trials and tribulations, ups and downs, old friends and new friends, and many other events that have shaped our lives this past year.  But one thing that we have to be thankful for is that we made it through another year.  There are those among us who are not going to be able enjoy the holidays as they have in the past.  For those that have lost jobs, it is not going to be a very Merry Christmas.

I have also encountered bumps in the road.  A job loss early in the year did nothing to dampen by spirits by any means.  I knew that it was only a matter of time before I would be back on my feet.  For those who have been out of work for what seems an eternity, you have to keep up the faith that you will get a job and be back on the road to prosperity.  It is not an easy road and I don’t want to pretend that it is.

We have seen financial upheaval all over the world and this has affected all of us in ways some will not understand.  The political system in the United States has come under attack by progressive liberals who are hell bent on taking us down the path of failure.  Our religious freedoms have also come under attack by those who are trying to take down what we have left of our faiths. This country used the Judeo-Christian ethic as a foundation for this government.  They were beginning an experiment where everyone would be able to practice religion freely.

Now is not the time to stop fighting for what we believe in.  Christmas is a time for us to renew our faith in fellow man and do what we feel is right.  We must remember growing up in this country is a privilege and not a right.  We must not be afraid to fight to keep what is rightfully ours and not let anyone take it from us and that includes our government.

We have all worked too hard and too long so see this country go the way of other countries of the world.  It is time to think about what we really want and this is the best time of year to start.  Christmas must be celebrated as time for new beginnings.  We must never lose sight of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to be able to celebrate our freedoms and Christmas is a very important part of that.

From my extended family to all of you, I wish to convey a very Merry Christmas blessing and the hope of a wonderful New Year.

20,000 Private Construction Jobs and Obama says "No"?, "Maybe"?, "Yes"?

Recently President Obama decided he was going to delay his decision to approve the XL Pipeline until after the election in 2012 much to the surprise to all the parties involved. His reasoning was the project needed additional environmental studies to determine the viability and safety of the project. After almost 3 ½ years of exhaustive review, review and more review he was still not sure if it was safe enough to build.  Let’s also note that the extensive approval process for a project of this magnitude has never happened before.

The regulatory hurdle that has blocked the approval of this much needed pipeline will not stop Canada from building the pipeline.  It would be naïve to think that Trans-Canada is sitting on their hands waiting for a decision from Obama.  They will continue with their plans to produce upwards to a million barrels of much needed oil from the Tar Sands Pipeline and instead of the United States being the beneficiary the oil will probably go to oil starved China.  The proposed pipeline would run from Alberta, Canada to Texas and pass through six states.

Unemployment 8.6%: Deceiving or For Real

The unemployment dropped to 8.6% in November from 9.0% the previous month. Don’t let the numbers fool you.  This one month decrease does not signify a recovery and we must view this with skepticism.  We have to look inside the numbers.  In November 312,000 people stopped their job searches as compared to the 120,000 positions that were created, and were no longer counted as unemployed. That contributed to the drop in the unemployment rate. The number of new unemployed still tops 400,000 most weeks.  So many people have stopped looking for jobs that it makes the rate look better.  There are still over 13 million Americans unemployed and that should tell you everything.  Only 64% of the people eligible to work are currently employed.

Obama will tell you that the new numbers are an indication that the economy is recovering, the strong job numbers prove this and that his policies are working. This is farthest from the truth. This President has done everything you do when you want to kill an economy. There so many factors to be taken into consideration when looking at the alleged recovery. The main stream media will try to convince you that everything is fine. It’s not. This is just an anomaly and nothing else.

Let’s look at the big picture and then you can decide for yourself.  We are all for seeing people back at work and providing for themselves and their families, but this President is still doing nothing.  In recent weeks we have heard from many CEO’s who are afraid of what is happening.  They have blasted the president in growing numbers.  They are not investing and they are not hiring because they are do not know where this economy is going.

They see a national debt that has ballooned in the past three years from $10 billion to $15 billion.  This takes money away from the private sector and stalls growth.  Let’s not also forget that more than half the jobs added last month were by retailers, restaurants and bars which typically hire additional employees for the holidays.  But that’s the tip of the iceberg.

In the past few months we have seen Obama delay the XL pipeline which would have created over 20,000 new jobs not to mention the 700,000 additional barrels of oil a day, “delayed” due to additional “environmental” concerns.  The real reason is Obama wants to wait until after the election to decide is all political. Another 200,000 Ohio based jobs would have been created with the activities of the Utica shale reserve which was also blocked by the Obama Administration. He is also blocking oil production in the Gulf which would also create thousands of jobs that were lost during the BP oil spill.

Obama pledged that he would create 5 million new “Green Energy” jobs.  Pelosi promised 800,000 new jobs with Obama Care when in fact 800,000 health care jobs will be lost when the bill becomes fully implemented in 2014.  This is only a fraction of the jobs that Obama promised us when he became President.  In fact this country has lost 2.9 million jobs since the stimulus bill was signed and the unemployment rate has not decreased below 8%.

Do not be fooled by what is going on.  It is Obama’s strategy to turn this country into a vision of his socialistic ways where everyone is either working for the government or dependent upon government.  Let’s do what needs to be done to reverse this trend. We need to get people back to work in the private sector permanently. This is no time to be lulled into a false sense of security with the decrease of the unemployment rate in November.  Numbers can be deceiving and this sums up this presidents record in job creation. It is non-existent and we won’t be fooled again.
