"If you want our respect, earn it, because right now all you have is our resentment."
A U.S. Marine offered President Barack Obama a tough lesson in what it means to show respect for his fallen brothers-in-arms.
In the 11 minute video, the unnamed veteran, who said he is from Chattanooga, first called out the president on the manner he chose to speak following the Chattanooga shootings.
never like to be reactionary and follow anything that may just be hyperbole or conspiracy theory. That’s why I held off on addressing this issue until I got confirmation — which came Friday afternoon via text message.
There are things which make you just upset, like the liberal progressive left and media accomplices’ rage over the shooting of a lion in Africa but abject disregard and disdain reference Planned Parenthood dismembering babies and selling their body parts.
But this story has me dog fighting mad and seriously pissed off.
As reported ten days ago by Western Journalism, “A Navy officer and Marine reportedly returned fire at the shooter who killed five service members in Chattanooga, Tenn., even though current policy does not permit military members to carry firearms on facilities such as those where the attack occurred.
The cold-blooded assault killed four Marines and one active-duty Navy reservist. The center’s commanding officer, Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, used his personal firearm to engage the shooter during the attack, according to sources quoted in the Navy Times. A report from The Washington Post said that one of the Marines killed in the shooting might have been carrying a 9 mm Glock and possibly returned fire on the shooter.
At the time, Western Journalism wrote,Lt. Cmdr. White could face disciplinary action for violating policy about possessing a weapon on the facility that was supposedly a gun-free zone. The investigation into the attack is ongoing, and authorities will not know if White or the Marine hit the shooter until an autopsy and a ballistics report have been completed.
Ladies and gents, resulting from the text message I received yesterday, I can confirm that the United States Navy is bringing charges against Lt. Cmdr Timothy White for illegally discharging a firearm on federal property.
The text message asked if it would be possible for Lt.Cmdr White to reach out to me. To wit I replied, affirmative.
What kind of freaking idiots are in charge of our Armed Forces — pardon me, our “unArmed Forces”? What would they prefer that Abdulazeez had been able to kill all the Marines and Sailors at the Naval Support Reserve Center? Let me draw an interesting contrast: Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus is more concerned about lifting the ban on transgendered Sailors. Mabus has a problem in that for the first time since 2007 the US Navy will not have a Carrier Battle Group operating in the Persian Gulf. But this knucklehead has no problem with the Navy seeking to destroy the career of a Sailor, a commander of an installation, returning fire against an Islamic jihadist attack. I do not care if it was his personal weapon, he deserves a medal for facing the enemy.
Folks, this has become the Obama military that will not implement policies for our men and women in uniform to be protected — but will punish them if they do protect themselves. What ever happened to the Navy of John Paul Jones, Farragut, Halsey, and Nimitz? What has happened in our America where we believe that our men and women in uniform — especially the commanders — are just targets for these damn Islamic jihadists?
Can you imagine the message this sends to ISIS and all the enemies of America? We are going to end his career and court-martial a man who drew his sidearm to protect his command, and the assigned Sailors and Marines.
What is the difference between Lt. Cmdr White and the reserve officer in Moore, Oklahoma who went to his vehicle and armed himself to prevent a second woman from being beheaded? Is it that we expect less from our uniformed warriors? Are they just supposed to sit and be butchered, gunned down, until local law enforcement come along? Let’s be very clear here, I can attest that there are many reserve and National Guard troops who are carrying concealed during their drill periods…why? Because they are lions, not sheep, like the imbeciles who are making the decision to punish Lt. Cmdr White.
Doggone, what does it take? Here we have a known deserte,r Bowe Bergdahl, out getting picked up smoking marijuana, or at a house growing marijuana. According to Susan Rice, he served with honor and distinction. The real men of honor such as Army 1LT Clint Lorance, and now it seems Lt. Cmdr White, are forced into jail.
Ponder this, Obama will pardon drug dealers, but men who fight the enemy are imprisoned? Now, can someone, any one of you inane characterless liberal progressive trolls explain that to me? Explain it to us that you would rather have had more Sailors and Marines die than for this Navy Commander to draw his personal weapon in defense of his command. That’s what the Naval Support Center was for Lt. Cmdr White — his responsibility to defend, protect.
Here we have a president and secretary of state sitting down with a sworn enemy in Iran who holds four Americans hostage, and we’re going to bring charges against an American Naval Commander who returned fire against the enemy.
This is indeed FUBAR!
Here’s what needs to happen. Flood the phone of SecNav Ray Mabus and SecDef Carter and ask them whose side they’re. Demand the charges being brought against Lt.Cmdr White be immediately dropped. If those charges are not dropped, I will personally lead the charge to have Carter and Mabus removed from their positions.
America, this cannot be tolerated and must not be allowed to stand. I guess the life of an African lion means more to these liberal progressives than one of our brave Sailors. It is beyond belief that the Navy would embark upon this folly — they could simply issue a “local letter of reprimand” that would not enter into Lt. Cmdr White’s permanent personnel file — then immediately pin a medal upon his chest and fast track him for promotion to Commander.
White exemplifies the highest and finest of character and tradition of the US Navy. Those who would bring charges against him are indeed cowards and need be exposed.
Lieutenant Commander Timothy White, I await your call, and I will not rest until these charges against you have been dropped. You stay strong. You showed that you are Steadfast and Loyal. And we will not allow you to be abandoned to the perfumed princes of the Pentagon…and the White House. America shall rally to your cause!
This is just another in the long line of reasons why we must NEVER allow a progressive socialist to be commander-in-chief.
—There Are No Illegals or Terrorists in America, says the President
In an effort to justify his refusal to protect the southern border of the United States from the torrent of illegal immigrants, drugs, and the spread of violence that has cost the lives of United States citizens such as Kate Steinle, as well as terrorist attacks on military personnel that resulted in the tragic death of five young Marines in a country they (ironically) served to protect, President Obama summoned “The Most Trusted Name in the News 2015,” CFP’s own Hugh Betcha, for an exclusive interview in the Oval Office.
Hugh, Chief of the International Desk of theStoos Views worldwide media conglomerate, a man who walks with kings and princes (unlike the President, bowing to none), caught a quick flight from Wynstone, South Dakota—where the air is clean, the crime rate low, the people vote red, and the centre still holds—and flew into Foggy Bottom. Ushered into the President’s office after a short ride in the Presidential limousine, Hugh settled down for a frank discussion with the President on the troublesome issue of illegal immigration, terrorism, and the violence that has plagued the country in the recent past.
The President seemed unusually defensive and out of sorts during the interview with his drinking buddy and the winner of MSNBC’s Most Trusted Name in the News Award, 2015—Hugh Betcha.
“I do not want the world to think we are inhospitable racists. I want the world to like us. It is more important to be liked than respected, after all. The influx of immigrants to this country is a good thing and brings in a new wave of Americans who are the future of this country. We need to be friends with Mexico and do not want to anger them.”
“But aren’t the illegals causing a tremendous drain on the economy, medical resources, and law enforcement down south? And how was our failure to imprison alien felons good for Kate Steinle and her family?” Hugh asked. “She died from San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy that you and your liberal Democrat allies encourage.”
“Please do not use that word,” the President bristled.
“What word?”
“Illegal. It is mean spirited.”
“What then?”
“I prefer undocumented,” the President said.
“But these undocumented aliens are wreaking havoc on the border states and you have done nothing to protect it.”
“Please do not use such language in here,” the President winced as he put his fingers in his ears.
“What?” Hugh asked.
“Aliens. That sounds so harsh. We do not use such language here. They are persons from places other than the United States. Again, I have instructed all federal employees never to use such language. It may well offend someone. We no longer use the “I” word or the “A” word in the federal government.”
“Well the point being Mr. President, that if you do nothing to protect the borders, then we face a serious threat not only from the undocumented persons from places other than the United Statesbut also Muslin terrorists. They can easily sneak across our southern border and many say ISIS is here already due to your policies.”
“Once again, please do not use such language,” Obama protested sternly.
“You mean…”
“Yes, Muslim Terrorists.”
“But, weren’t the guys who bombed New York on 9/11 Muslim terrorists? How about the guys who maimed and killed all those Americans in Boston; how about the dirt bag who shot our young Marines in Chattanooga?” Hugh insisted, “what do you call them?”
“No, we do not use such language and there are no terrorists in America. They are simplydisagreeable people of another faith who sometimes randomly hurt people in variousways.I have issued an Executive Order to this effect, effective immediately.”
“Okay Mr. President, the point is this: You do not want the United States Government to even talk about, much less do anything to protect the citizens from, either the flood of undocumented persons from places other than the United States or disagreeable people of another faith who sometimes randomly hurt people, right?”
“Correct. Such action is preempted by federal law. The protection of the citizens of American is the prerogative of the United States Government. It is my exclusive right as Commander in Chief to do nothing to protect our borders or protect our citizens.”
“But.....”
:...and the right to do nothing is a right I guard jealously.”
Ever get the feeling that you went to sleep one night and awakened to find somebody stole your country and replaced it with an insane asylum?
We trust our warriors with weapons in foreign countries but not on their home turf? This is what’s flying over the D.C. cuckoo’s nest.
Imagine that you’re being held hostage by the “Death to America” Islamic Republic of Iran. Your president negotiates a nuclear “agreement” with the regime, but he’s too needy and impotent to secure your release as part of the agreement. Is there any message that would bring more joy to your heart than: “The Marines have landed?”
The valiant volunteer members of our military swear an oath:
“to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
About that “domestic” part. Despite the murders of four “officially” unarmed Marines and a Navy petty officer in Chattanooga, Tenn. on July 16, by a heavily-armed follower of Allah, some geldings in the federal follies are still studying whether to allow our military to be armed in U.S. recruiting offices, on military bases, and in public.
Responding to the Chattanooga attack, Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter approved a memo telling Marines not to wear their uniforms in public. The Pentagon also told recruiters to “close the blinds for added security.”
In other words, behave like a hostage in your homeland: The Few, the Cloistered, the Incognito. There’s a sure-fire recruiting ad.
Are we fed up yet with this administration treating our military so contemptuously?
Mayor Andy Berke cites state, federal law protecting funerals and memorial services
Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke has declared memorials at Lee Highway and Amnicola Highway, at which a 24-year-old gunman mounted brazen attacks on two military installations last Thursday, as "protected memorial services, which will shield them from any protests," according to news releases.
The gunman, who officials said on Wednesday was a "violent extremist," killed five and wounded others during his assault, before being shot and killed by police.
"Since the incidents, the sites have served as memorials to the fallen heroes, and thousands of people have visited the sites to memorialize the mourn them," Berke wrote in a directive, labeled number 2015-01.
Berke directed the Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and other agencies to defend mourners at Lee Highway, Amnicola Highway, and any funeral processions and funeral services.
Berke cited Tennessee Code Section 39-17-317 as the justification for preventing interference during memorial services, preventing anyone from doing anything "in a manner offensive to an ordinary person."
He said the Tennessee General Assembly has determined that picketing, protesting or demonstrating at a funeral or memorial service within 500 feet shall be deemed offensive.
He also cited federal law, specifically 38 USC Section 2413, which prohibits some demonstrations at national cemeteries, such as the Chattanooga National Military Cemetary, within 300 feet of the entrance.
Senate Armed Services Committee chairman John McCain is working to ensure that the four Marines and Navy petty officer who died in the terror attack on the Marine recruiting station in Chattanooga recieve Purple Heart medals for their sacrifice.
Some of the Marines may have saved their fellow service members by ushering them to safety before returning to try to neutralize Abdulazeez.
“While I cannot share specific details about what happened that morning, our Marines reacted the way you would expect — rapidly going from room to room. They got their fellow Marines to safety,” Maj. Gen. Paul Brier, commander of the 4th Marine Division, said during a news conference Wednesday. “Once they got them to safety, some willingly ran back into the fight.”
Twenty Marines and two Navy corpsmen were in the naval reserve center inspecting their equipment after returning from a training program, Gen. Brier told reporters, indicating that the massacre could have been much worse if not for the Marines’ acts of courage.
Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, the support center’s commanding officer, used his personal firearm to engage Abdulazeez during the attack, the Navy Times reported. Four sources confirmed that the officer’s actions were included in a report distributed to senior Navy leaders after the attack.
According to reporting from TheNew York Times, some of the Marines killed in the Chattanooga shooting were killed trying to draw the gunman’s fire away from another, larger group of innocent bystanders.
“Some of the Marines who were shot to death last week in Chattanooga, Tenn., effectively sacrificed themselves to save the lives of others, diverting the gunman away from a larger group of potential victims, according to a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation into the killings,” reports New York Times reporters Richard Pérez-Peña and Matt Apuzzo.
“This could have been a lot worse,” they quote the anonymous official as saying. “It could have been a horrible, horrible massacre — so much worse.” Officials are expected to give a fuller account of the shooting, perpetrated by Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, in a Wednesday press conference.
Service members on base and outside at remote recruiting sites are not being deprived of weapons just because of short-sighted directives. It’s much worse than that. They have no access to guns to protect themselves – though in most states the civilians they pass in the streets off-post can legally and easily carry concealed – because senior military leaders are more terrified of career-ending “incidents” than the safety of their troops.
It’s a disgrace, but it’s only another example of the moral rot within the leadership of our Armed Forces that began before the Obama era but which now, under his poisonous leadership, threatens to destroy the greatest military in human history.
“Senior military leaders are more terrified of career-ending ‘incidents’ than the safety of their troops.”
Let’s be very clear – the Department of Defense (DoD) directive that limits the carrying of weapons absolutely allows commanders the discretion to arm their troops.
Let’s look at what the rules actually say. DoD Directive 5210.56, paragraph 4, reads, in part:
DoD personnel, to whom this Directive is applicable, shall be appropriately armed and have the inherent right to self-defense.
Arming DoD personnel with firearms shall be limited and controlled. Qualified personnel shall be armed when required for assigned duties and there is reasonable expectation that DoD installations, property, or personnel lives or DoD assets will be jeopardized if personnel are not armed. …
Each service has specific regulations that further implement the DoD Directive. For example, Army Regulation (AR) 190-14, paragraphs 2-1 and 2-2, reserves the general power to arm troops in the continental United States to the Secretary of the Army, but it expressly provides that “[o]fficers of field grade rank or higher … may authorize the carrying of firearms for law enforcement and security duties” that include “[p]rotect[ing] DOD assets and personnel.”
So, the idea that military leaders have their hands tied is nonsense – the governing directives and regulations expressly allow senior leaders to arm their troops when there is a threat. And there is a threat – as we saw in Chattanooga, as we saw at Fort Hood. These freaks are not picking military personnel at random. They are continuing the radical Islamic war against America here on our soil, and our warriors remain stubbornly disarmed and defenseless.
So why would a commander not order troops who have qualified on their M9 pistols to draw sidearms and ammo and carry them during their duties, at least until this crisis passes? Perhaps their discretion has been withdrawn from higher command – that’s possible, especially with this toxic administration. But more likely it’s because of fear.
President Obama has ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff at the White House and federal buildings across the country to honor the victims of last week's shooting rampage in Chattanooga, Tenn., after facing pressure from lawmakers and others.
In a proclamation issued early Tuesday afternoon, Obama said of the Chattanooga victims, "We honor their service. We offer our gratitude to the police officers and first responders who stopped the rampage and saved lives. We draw strength from yet another American community that has come together with an unmistakable message to those who would try and do us harm: We do not give in to fear. You cannot divide us. And you will not change our way of life."
He ordered flags flown at half-staff at the White House and "all public buildings and grounds," as well as over military posts and naval stations and vessels -- until July 25. Flags will be flown at half-staff at U.S. embassies and other overseas diplomatic offices.
The decision comes after congressional leaders ordered flags at the U.S. Capitol lowered to half-staff earlier in the day -- that decision fueled questions over why the White House hadn't yet done the same.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., a veteran, earlier released a statement calling it "unconscionable" that the flags had not been lowered, as of Tuesday morning. "The flag and all it represents is sacred to our military, and the President must know that lowering the flag is a signal of honor and respect," he said.
Shortly afterward, the White House issued its proclamation, following similar instructions for the Capitol by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner.
One of the four Marines killed during Friday’s attack in Chattanooga may have been armed and could have exchanged fire with shooter Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, the Washington Post reported on Monday.
Marines are not authorized to carry personally owned firearms at the Navy Operational Support Center, the second location Abdulazeez attacked during his violent spree, and where all five military fatalities occurred. But the FBI recovered a pistol from the scene which may have been “privately owned and used by one of the Marines,” according to the Post. Investigators are reviewing forensics to determine if the pistol was used to fire at or wound Abdulazeez, who died during the violence.
WASHINGTON – While safety concerns at military recruitment centers have been a long-standing issue, last week’s fatal shootings at two Tennessee installations underscore the deep risk recruiters face daily and the scramble at state and national levels to prevent a similar tragedy from taking place again.
The U.S. military on Monday confirmed to Fox News it directed recruiting centers across the country to step up security measures in the wake of the deadly rampage that claimed the lives of four U.S. Marines and a Navy sailor.
At the same time, a handful of governors have taken steps to beef up security measures at National Guard recruitment centers.
Governors in six states – Florida, Indiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas – ordered their Guardsmen to be armed.
Adm. Bill Gortney, head of the U.S. Northern Command, which oversees security for military facilities in the United States, issued a directive Sunday night calling on centers to implement modest measures while the Department of Defense hammers out more substantial steps to reduce the risk to recruiters.
Recruiters typically set up shop in highly-visible areas, like strip malls or storefronts to attract the most amount of people. Most are unarmed – and it’s this combination that some security analysts say creates the perfect conditions for an attack.
Not only are recruiters under pressure to deliver candidates who can clear basic mental and physical tests, they are doing so with ongoing budget cuts. The Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps are being asked in fiscal year 2016 to recruit 2,000 to 9,500 more active-duty members.
After the governors' decision to arm Guardsmen, Florida Gov. Rick Scott took it a step further when he signed an executive order to relocate six recruiting centers to armories.
As governor, Scott oversees the Florida National Guard and can act without federal involvement. He also ordered officers to make sure all full-time members of the guard are armed “in the interest of immediately securing Florida National Guardsmen who are being targeted by ISIS.”
Authorities say Mohammod Abdulazeez, 24, opened fire at a military recruiting office in Chattanooga on Thursday. Thirty minutes and a police chase later, five military members and the gunman were dead.
While the shootings are being investigated as domestic terrorism, there has been no hard link between the attack and ISIS, authorities said.
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson authorized the Arkansas National Guard Adjutant Gen. Mark Berry to arm full-time military personnel.
“I want to join in those who are calling for greater security at our recruiting centers and military installations,” Hutchinson said. “We’ve had numerous instances of attacks. Clearly, they are a target, and for us to have unarmed military personnel makes no sense.”
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced Saturday he will authorize Adjutant Gen.John Nicholas of the Texas National Guard to arm National Guard personnel at military facilities across Texas.
“After the recent shooting in Chattanooga, it has become clear that our military personnel must have the ability to defend themselves against these types of attacks on our own soil,” he said. “Arming the National Guard at these bases will not only serve as a deterrent to anyone wishing to do harm to our service men and women, but will enable them to protect those living and working on the base.”
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and Indiana’s Gov. Mike Pence issued similar orders.
Governors in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina have not issued specific orders to arm but have started the process to step up security.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam’s press secretary David Smith told the local paper the “governor has reached out to (Tennessee Adjutant) Genb. Haston, and we’re looking at appropriate next steps.”
Brian Robinson, spokesman for Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal, said the governor would not order National Guardsmen to arm themselves, “because current state law allows members of the Guard to arm themselves if they choose to.”
North Carolina’s Gov. Pat McCrory instructed the Department of Public Safety and the North Carolina National Guard to step up security measures at recruiting centers, armories and readiness centers statewide but did not issue an order forcing them to arm.
“We will be vigilant in protecting those who protect us,” McCrory said in a statement. “These men and women are putting their lives on the line to serve our country and it’s our responsibility to ensure everything that is within our power to do for their safety is done.”
Fox News' Lucas Tomlinson and The Associated Press contributed to this report.
A local Chattanooga news station says that they got a tip about the ISIS-inspired murderer that killed 5 marines going to practice shooting at a range. And he wasn’t a lone.
Abdulazeez was reportedly spotted with three other men who were wearing long beards like Abdulazeez. All four were reportedly practice shooting.
The claim has not been confirmed by law enforcement but several sources told WDEF the men were likely spotted at Prentice Cooper Gun Range.
When News 12 arrived at the gun range, several men who were practicing shooting said a man who claimed to be a former Marine arrived at the range Saturday morning and said he was doing his own investigation to see if Abdulazeez had been shooting at that location.
The men said he asked multiple groups of people who were at the range.
CBS News is also reporting that Abdulazeez told his co-workers that he and a group of guys recently went shooting at a gun range. CBS News got its information from law enforcement sources who interviewed Abdulazeez’s co-workers.
According to a published CBS News report, the men reportedly shot rifles, BB guns and pistols last month.
So was he a “lone wolf” or was he aided in his murderous rampage?
It’s still up in the air to members of the media what compelled 24-year-old Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, a Muslim, to murder four Marines in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Thursday before being killed in a firefight with police.
As one CNN reporter put it, “he was a nice kid from a nice family, and he was as American as anybody else.”
Chris Cuomo said, “we may never know the exact motive” of Abdulazeez. That sentiment has been repeated across the dial, with pundits and correspondents falling all over themselves to remind viewers we just don’t know the motive.
It has been established he did not hunt, however. Abdulazeez did blog about Islam on July 13, where, according to The Daily Beast, he “uses the hypothetical example of a prisoner who is told he would be given a test that would either take him out of his earthly prison.”
In response to the attack on Marines in Tennessee, Gov. Mary Fallin has authorized Oklahoma military officials to arm full-time personnel at facilities similar to the ones that were attacked on Thursday.
On Friday, Gov. Fallin issued an executive order that allows Maj. Gen. Robbie Asher to arm certain full-time personnel in military installations throughout Oklahoma.
“Four unarmed Marines were killed in what appears to be a domestic terrorist attack,” Gov. Fallin said. “It is painful enough when we lose members of our armed forces when they are sent in harm’s way, but it is unfathomable that they should be vulnerable for attack in our own communities. For that reason, I want to make sure that our National Guardsmen are authorized to arm themselves at our military facilities.”
The personnel may be armed with weapons that “adequately provide for security of the facilities and their occupants.”
Those facilities include military recruiting offices.
“This attack is a horrible tragedy for our country and especially those in the State of Tennessee,” she said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those who were killed.”

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The U.S. Navy says that the sailor who was shot earlier this week at a military support center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, has died.
The death occurred two days after a deadly shooting killed four Marines and injured three others, including the sailor, in Chattanooga.
Authorities say Kuwait-born Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, 24, of Hixson, Tennessee, unleashed a barrage of fire at a recruiting center in Chattanooga, then drove several miles away to a Navy and Marine reserve center, where he shot and killed the Marines, and wounded the sailor. Abdulazeez was shot to death by police.
The Navy statement did not give the sailor's name. But he was earlier identified as Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Randall Smith, a reservist serving on active duty in Chattanooga.
