Laura Ingraham not thrilled by airport’s all-gender restroom open to anyone regardless of expression
Face it: It’s 2015, same-sex marriage is legal nationwide, and Caitlyn Jenner was just presented with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY Awards. It shouldn’t be too surprising, if not a little shocking, to see a transgender woman walk proudly into a public ladies room.
What we hadn’t considered, though, was the idea of special “all gender restrooms” and just exactly what the signs would look like. Now we know, thanks to a photo posted by Laura Ingraham.
Lord help us. San Diego Airport Bathroom Signage. Ladies, is this really what you want?

Time's Mark Halperin Lamented Press Failure to Scrutinize Obamacare....But In 2010, Boasted About It
Last Thursday, Time's Mark Halperin told guest host Laura Ingraham on "The O'Reilly Factor" that "There is no doubt that the press failed to scrutinize this program at the time of passage and during the context of the president's re-election. Any reporter who would argue otherwise would be putting their head in the sand." Romney's vulnerability on Romneycare meant it wasn't much of an issue.
"It's part of the flaws of the way the media works," Halperin added. "If the candidates aren't talking about it, it gets less coverage. But there's no doubt a disservice was done to the country and even to liberals who want this program to succeed, because it didn't get scrutiny on passage, and then again when the President was running for re-election." But James Taranto of The Wall Street Journal did the mean thing to Halperin. Oh, look, here's one Mark Halperin on March 22, 2010, boasting about the forthcoming press failure on Obamacare, right after it passed:
In the 7½ months between now and November's midterm elections, millions of Americans will be whipped into a frenzy over the purported evils in the Democrats' health care bill, egged on by Fox News chatter, Rush Limbaugh's daily sermons, threats of state legislative and judicial action and the solemn pledge of Republicans in Washington to make the fall election a referendum on Obamacare. But in doing so, they may be playing right into the Democrats' hands. . . .
Democrats will be joined in the fray by much of the press. For Republicans, this will seem like familiar ground, since generations of conservatives have complained that the so-called mainstream media have been biased against them. Well, get ready, Republicans, for déjà vu all over again. The coverage through November likely will highlight the most extreme attacks on the President and his law and spotlight stories of real Americans whose lives have been improved by access to health care (pushed, no doubt, by Democrats from every competitive congressional district and state).
The louder Republicans yell, the more they will be characterized and caricatured as sore losers infuriated by the first major delivery of candidate Obama's promise of "change." The focus on the weekend's alleged racial and gay-bashing verbal attacks by opponents of the Democrats' plan should be a caution to Republican strategists trying to figure out how to manage the media this year.
Taranto added: "His indictment should have been framed as a confession."

[VIDEO] Ellison Barber Interviews Laura Ingraham on ‘Adopt a New Attitude Project’
Ellison Barber interviewed Laura Ingraham about the Adopt a New Attitude Project, an initiative intended to raise awareness about Russia’s recent ban on adoptions to the U.S.
Barber profiled the project earlier this week:
Via: WFBSince December 2012 the Russian government has banned all adoptions to the United States. The ban inspired Laura Ingraham, known to many people as the spirited conservative talk-show host and Fox News contributor, to found the Adopt a New Attitude Project to raise awareness about adoption.“I didn’t really think all that much about adoption until I adopted,” Ingraham told the Free Beacon. “When I understood that Vladimir Putin and the Russian Duma, the legislature, was considering this adoption ban about a year ago and making it increasingly difficult for Americans to adopt there. I thought to myself, wait a second we’ve got to do something about this.”Ingraham is the adoptive mother of three children. Her two sons were both adopted from Russia. The oldest of the bunch, and the only girl, was adopted from Guatemala.

Laura Ingraham: Obama’s ‘Community Organizer’ Foreign Policy ‘Looks Ridiculous’
Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham expressed skepticism about the so-called Russian solution to the crisis in Syria. She said that she was not certain that the offer to monitor the surrendering of Bashar al-Assad’s chemical weapons into international custody will resolve the crisis. Furthermore, Ingraham said, President Barack Obama, given his background as a “community organizer,” appears incapable of managing America’s affairs abroad.
“The bottom line is the president has an escape hatch, right?” Gretchen Carlson asked.
“We’ll see,” Ingraham replied. She said that Sec. John Kerry “stumbled” into allowing the Russians to embarrass Washington and boost their own stature by making it appear as though Kerry’s off-the-cuff hypothetical was a real policy proposal that Moscow could facilitate.
Brian Kilmeade noted that even the State Department attempted to walk back Kerry’s accidental policy proposal before it was embraced as a path to peace by the White House.
“This is an example of what happens when a community organizer, who is used to doing the razzle-dazzle with Oprah and all of his celebrities, thinks by just through the sheer force of personality and magnetism he can somehow change the chess pieces on the board,” Ingraham later said.
“When you’re dealing with someone like Russia — it’s a great world power, even with all of the struggles — or China, this is not something that you can just stumble into,” she insisted. “This is something that has to be incredibly well thought out and from the beginning. It was not.”
Ingraham insisted that she did not think the Russian solution would save Obama from a political defeat, and that he “looks ridiculous” pursuing it.

Laura Ingraham Mauls ‘Neo-Cons’ Supporting Syria: Not ‘Another Ill-Conceived, Undefined War’
Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham attacked neoconservative Republicans in the harshest of terms on Tuesday’s Fox & Friends. As a former Iraq War supporter, she said that there is no reason to support intervention in Syria. Ingraham blasted some in the GOP for supporting “another ill-conceived, undefined war,” and added that the Iraq War regrettably paved the way for PresidentBarack Obama to assume the presidency.
“We have a current weapon of mass destruction in this country,” Ingraham began expressing her opposition to intervention in Syria. “It’s called unemployment.”
Ingraham attacked Republicans for agreeing with pro-intervention forces who suggest that America’s credibility is at stake if the U.S. does not take action in Syria. “Our credibility is not at stake. The president’s credibility is at stake,” Ingraham insisted.
“For the neoconservatives to say, our credibility is at stake, I would submit to them that our credibility might be at stake because of very confused foreign policy over the last 12 years, let alone over the last 12 months,” she added.
“I was one of the most vociferous supporters of the Iraq War,” Ingraham continued. “That strengthened Iran’s hand.”
“In the last 10 years, we’ve gotten involved in two major military actions,” she said. “Our country is poorer, we have more unemployment, we have Barack Obama as president. We wouldn’t have Obama as president, sadly, if we didn’t go into Iraq.”
“The Constitution is very clear: there is not a blank check for any executive, Republican or Democrat, to bring the country into another ill-conceived, undefined war,” Ingraham declared.
Ingraham said that military experts she speaks with cannot identify a strategy that would change the situation on the ground in Syria.

Salon, Daily Kos Accuse Laura Ingraham of Sound-effect 'Assassination' of Rep. John Lewis (Ingraham Rebuts)
Daily listeners to the Laura Ingraham show (like me) know that she likes to interrupt silly soundbites with an explosion sound effect. Somehow on the Left, this is now being characterized as an audio assassination. The Daily Kos carried the headline “Laura Ingraham Uses a Shotgun to Imagine Assassinating Rep. John Lewis During his MLK Speech.”
On Monday, Ingraham exploded the Lewis soundbite as he demanded “comprehensive immigration reform,” just before he used the ridiculous metaphor of illegal aliens hiding “in the shadows" -- she noted they were brought as guests to Obama's State of the Union address. Ingraham explained their sound effect to NewsBusters:
My producers and I have used this blow up effect to interrupt windbags for 10 years of political and cultural persuasions. The cannon or "blow up" sound is meant to convey the gaseous thoughts of a speaker combusting, but of course the bilious Joan Walsh of Salon.com knows that. (My producers have even blown me up when we play long clips from TV appearances!)
Par for the course--people with an ideological axe to grind are attempting to read malicious intent where none exists. Their goal is not to debate, but to stifle speech.
The Kos crowd and other leftist blogs didn’t think it was an assassination when Ingraham interrupted snippets of George W. Bush or John McCain or Lindsey Graham with the same sound effect. “TeamSarah4Choice” – abortion advocates should avoid loose talk about the politics of murder – can only imagine the very worst:
Clearly, Laura Ingraham intended to give the illusion to her listeners that Rep. Lewis was assassinated in the middle of his speech. Yeah, that's the mind-set of these rightwingers. They spread lies, hate and now, Laura Ingraham takes her their listeners to wallow in her repugnant mind where she images using a shotgun to assassinate black Congressional leaders.
Who will Laura Ingraham envision using her shotgun to assassinate next?
Joan Walsh at Salon somehow heard a “crackling gunshot” from the “ignorant and vicious” conservative host:
I have to wonder why she chose to silence Lewis, symbolically at least, with a gunshot. It’s no coincidence she’s also an NRA mouthpiece whipping up fear that the government is coming for our guns. All of the white-grievance mongers are getting angrier, and their brew of pro-gun paranoia and white racial resentment is toxic. Ingraham should be ashamed of herself, but she’s just another rodeo clown, and she has no shame.
Ingraham told me: "This is absurd and venomous and the predictably pathetic work of people who mean to crush free speech as they advance a failing, progressive agenda. If Joan Walsh or other left-wing loons give voice to their moronic, dishonest analysis, they might self-combust on my show, too. Boom."
She also said "I referred to John Lewis as a 'trailblazing civil rights figure.' They're absurd."
