EXCLUSIVE – WENDY DAVIS AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD FUNDRAISER: ABORTION OF 7-POUND BABY ‘NEVER HAPPENS’

When unsuccessful Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis (D) was asked this week why it was acceptable to abort a seven-pound baby, she responded, “That never happens. It never happens. It really never happens.”
As heard in a video taken by an anonymous citizen journalist who provided the recording exclusively to Breitbart News, Davis continued:
And, the only time that late term abortions occur is when something has gone horribly wrong and either the mother’s life is in danger or the child’s life is in a very precarious situation. What we can’t ever know is what people are dealing with when they make those personal choices. And, it’s not right for us to step into their shoes, is what I tell people.
Davis headlined a Planned Parenthood fundraising luncheon in Dearborn, Michigan Monday, when she was asked the question 2016 GOP contender
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)
93%
suggested reporters ask Democratic National Committee chairwoman
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)
4%
.

As Breitbart News reported in April, Paul was asked during a press conference in New Hampshire, “Senator, the DNC is picking up on comments you made with AP this morning on abortion, and I just wanted to know where you stand on exemptions—should there be any exemptions for abortion or no?”

Wendy Davis Will Be Charitable With Your Tax Dollars

Wendy Davis Will Be Charitable With Your Tax DollarsThe problem with liberals is they always want to be charitable with your money and never with their own.

Wendy Davis has released her tax records. Turns out she’s only managed to fund about 2.7 abortions over the last three years. She’d rather use the power of the state to make you fund the abortions.
In all seriousness,
Davis’ adjusted gross income rose from $130,931 in 2010 to $235,428 in 2011 and $284,183 last year. She made roughly $12,000 to $14,000 a year from capital gains, mostly from the sale of mutual funds.
In 2010, Davis’ combined legal work brought in $126,043, then rose to $223,263 a year later before hitting $275,271 in 2012, according to figures filed under tax schedules for business and partnership income.
But then consider what she has given personally to charity.
Davis has made relatively modest contributions to charity. In 2010 she reported giving $2,700. She gave $515 in 2011 and $950 in 2012, the tax returns show.
This is a woman who refuses to provide the press a full list of her law firm’s “public-sector clients” as more and more evidence crops up she’s used her position in the state legislature to steer the public-sector to her office door. In fact, as the Texas Tribune notes, her legal work has gone from $126,043 to $275,271 over a three-year period. A good bit of that work could be from using her position in the legislature, which would give it the appearance of all sorts of conflicts of interest and kickbacks. Again, though, she refuses to provide a full list of public-sector clients. What’s she hiding?
What she is not hiding is that she is not a charity.

Worrisome Days Ahead for GOP in Texas

Now that Texas state senator and pro-abortion "darling" Wendy Davis has officially entered the governor's race, the question must be asked, is front-runner Greg Abbott the right man for the job?
The Republican establishment is confident that Abbott, Texas' current Attorney General, is the man for the moment, that his $25 million campaign war chest is more than enough to beat Davis and the now energized Democratic Battleground Texas movement.
But having a lot of money isn't always enough. Ask Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, the multi-millionaire who lost to Ted Cruz. Ask Linda McMahon, the wrestling magnate who has lost repeatedly in Connecticut.
The question stands. Is Abbott the right man for Texas?
Abbott has made his name in Republican circles by leading the state's attorney general's office in lawsuits against the Obama Administration and by his personal triumph over an accident that left him paralyzed and wheelchair bound. That's the core of his campaign so far.
But what is worrying some about Abbott is that he's never had to fight a hard-charging opponent in his political career. He's been advanced up the ladder through political appointments. His elections have been cakewalks against unqualified opponents.
Some may deem Wendy Davis

MSNBC's Hayes: Wendy Davis for Gov is 'Matter of Life and Death for Many Texans'

On Friday's All In show, as Chris Hayes celebrated Texas Democratic State Senator Wendy Davis's announcement that she will run for governor, the MSNBC host characterized her run as "literally a matter of life or death for many Texans," as he lambasted Texas Republicans for opposing Medicaid expansion.

Hayes took a shot at Republican Senator Ted Cruz as he rejoiced in Davis's infamous filibuster to support abortion:
You remember Wendy Davis, the woman who waged an epic 11-hour filibuster to temporarily block a Republican proposal restricting abortion in the state, sporting a pair of neon pink sneakers throughout. And  the Davis filibuster wasn't some Ted Cruz-style spectacle. This was a real-deal filibuster, an attempt to block a Republican bill restricting women's access to medical care.
After recounting that she became an "overnight rock star in the Democratic party," he continued: "But a Wendy Davis candidacy is more than just good politics for Democrats. It's literally a matter of life or death for many Texans."
After citing statistics on the number of uninsured in Texas, Hayes indicted Republican Governor Rick Perry: "And the trend is getting worse. Piling on, the state's current governor, Republican Rick Perry, rejected the  very thing that would help those people most to receive coverage under ObamaCare.".
Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the Friday, October 4, All In with Chris Hayes on MSNBC:
CHRIS HAYES: Yesterday was the day for Wendy Davis. The Texas state senator throwing her hat in the ring to become the first Democratic governor of the Lone Star State since Ann Richards.

Davis's actions galvanized folks across the country. A flood of supporters gathering inside the state capitol to cheer her on. And when the bill was ultimately blocked at the midnight deadline, Davis became an overnight rock star in the Democratic party. Inspiring means, nail art, a hash tag, even Taiwanese animation. But a Wendy Davis candidacy is more than just good politics for  Democrats. It's literally a matter of life or death for many Texans.

According to Gallup for the fifth straight year, Texas leads the country in its percentage of people without health insurance.  A whopping 29 percent of Texans don't have coverage. That's over six million people, roughly the population of the entire state  of Massachusetts. And the trend is getting worse. Piling on, the state's current governor, Republican Rick Perry, rejected the very thing that would help those people most to receive coverage under ObamaCare.

Report: Wendy Davis has raised over $1 million since filibuster

JUST ANOTHER LIBERAL ONE TRICK PONY!!!

Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis (D), who made national news in June for her 13-hour filibuster to block a strict abortion bill, has raised more than a $1 million since then, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Davis has been urged to run for Texas governor in 2014. In early August, she suggested she might do so.

“I can say with absolute certainty that I will run for one of two offices: either my state Senate seat or the governor,” she said at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Between her June 25 filibuster and July, Davis raised nearly $470,000 from outside of Texas, the report said. She also received $793,800 from her home state.

Most of the money was raised in July, when Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) opened another special session to push the abortion bill forward. Lawmakers passed the legislation to ban abortions after 20 weeks, and Perry signed it into law.

Of the $470,000 in outside funds, Davis raised the most, $103,694, in California. She also raised $68,764 from New York and $59,000 from Washington, D.C.

Nancy Pelosi calls Wendy Davis ‘brilliant, courageous’

As state Sen. Wendy Davis nears an announcement on whether she’ll run for governor, U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Monday called her “brilliant” and “courageous.”
Asked whether she thought the Fort Worth Democrat could raise the tens of millions of dollars needed to mount such a race, Pelosi said yes, adding, “I don’t think that would be an obstacle.”
Pelosi was in Austin to talk about economic policies important to women at an event hosted by the American Association of University Women at the Eastview Campus of Austin Community College.
Democratic Leader Nancy PelosiAsked if Davis could expect support from national Democratis such as Pelosi if she runs, the Democrat who’s often reviled by Republicans in this red state was careful.
“I think many people across the country are waiting for Wendy’s decision, but what’s important is what the people of Texas think about that decision,” said Pelosi, praising her and saying Davis understands “women in the workplace, the balance that has to happen there.”
As to whether she had encouraged Davis to run, Pelosi said, people have to make their own decisions on such matters.
“I think she knows how much we all respect her, but it’s not really about what anybody outside the state thinks. It’s about what she thinks is possible here.”
