Obama: "Its a Step in the Right (Wrong) Direction"

What the Obama Administration is really saying is "Don't read the job numbers.  It will just tell you what we don't want you do know,  its worse than we want it to appear to be and we really don't know what we are doing;" For those of you that think that everything is fine just because the President says, "It's a step in the right direction" you are sadly mistaken.

The creation (a word that the President loves to throw around) of 80,000 jobs should be added jobs. And for the record 150,000 people entered the job market in June which means we "added" a net loss of 70,000 jobs. If this logic does not make sense to you, it's called government speak and it is used to distract and confuse even the most seasoned bureaucrat. The real truth lies (another word that can be used to describe what they are telling you) in the statistics you won't hear or see in the MSM.  You are going to see them here today.

For starters the civilian labor force participation rate which is the measure of jobs to the total # of people available for work is stuck  at 63.8%  Last year it was over 64.0 for the entire year.  The unemployment for minorities is Over 14% for blacks and 11% for Hispanics.  And to add insult to injury the rate for those between 16 & 24 years old is an astounding 16.5%. The employment-population ratio is 58.6%.  The month that Obama took office the rate was 60.6%.  During the Bush years this number averaged 62.6%. This is  unprecedented. The true unemployment rate when you include underemployed and those that have just stopped looking is at 17.4% as of July 9, 2012 according to Gallup

When you look at the stats for veteran's it is even more disturbing.  The most recent unemployment rate dropped to 9.5% which is a step in the right direction but still has a long way to go before it even close to being called acceptable.  If this president is true to his words regarding the alleged republican war on woman why are over 780,000 more woman unemployed under Obama which is up 15.5% since Jan 2009?
It's hard to believe that there is still strong support for Obama among women.

A look at the chart below tells the whole employment story.  Numbers don't lie but Obama does and if anyone who thinks that this is going to get better in an Obama second term has not been paying attention or just doesn't care.
