PLANNED PARENTHOOD OPENS ABORTION CLINIC NEXT TO ADOPTION CENTER

Planned Parenthood held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sunday to open a new abortion clinic in Fort Worth, Texas located next to the Gladney Adoption Center.

According to the Star-Telegram, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception at the new abortion clinic, titled The Planned Parenthood Southwest Fort Worth Health Center, which opened earlier in the year. The $6.5 million facility was privately funded by North Texans.

LifeNews reported in November of 2011 that Planned Parenthood had a capital campaign goal of $21.5 million for its new abortion mega-center. In addition, the location of the new center, at 6400 John Ryan Drive, was originally kept quiet, likely due to its proximity to the Gladney Center for Adoption.
The abortion center has since been described as a “state-of-the-art” abortion facility that “will include a larger family planning center, an ambulatory surgical care center and offices.”

North Texas Drivers Stopped at Roadblock Asked for Saliva, Blood

Some drivers along a busy Fort Worth street on Friday were stopped at a police roadblock and directed into a parking lot, where they were asked by federal contractors for samples of their breath, saliva and even blood.
It was part of a government research study aimed at determining the number of drunken or drug-impaired drivers.
"It just doesn't seem right that you can be forced off the road when you're not doing anything wrong," said Kim Cope, who said she was on her lunch break when she was forced to pull over at the roadblock on Beach Street in North Fort Worth.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which is spending $7.9 million on the survey over three years, said participation was "100 percent voluntary" and anonymous.
But Cope said it didn't feel voluntary to her -- despite signs saying it was.
"I gestured to the guy in front that I just wanted to go straight, but he wouldn't let me and forced me into a parking spot," she said.
Once parked, she couldn't believe what she was asked next.
"They were asking for cheek swabs," she said. "They would give $10 for that. Also, if you let them take your blood, they would pay you $50 for that."
At the very least, she said, they wanted to test her breath for alcohol.

“Abortion Barbie” Wendy Davis Claims in Court That She Has Mental Health Issues

"Abortion Barbie" Wendy Davis Claims in Court That She Has Mental Health IssuesThe Democrats intent on taking back Texas were so desperate for a hero, they turned to pink clad Wendy Davis with, as Vogue described her, “Barbie-doll looks”. They might live to regret that.
Back in 1996, Wendy Davis lost an election for the Fort Worth, TX City Council. After the election, she sued the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the local newspaper, for defamation. In short, Davis did not like being criticized by the media (something she won’t have to worry about this go round), so she sued for those criticisms claiming they defamed her.
The Texas Court of Appeals and then the Texas Supreme Court both threw out her case. But it is worth noting that Davis, in making her case, claimed that the nasty newspaper, by virtue of criticizing her, damaged her “mental health.”
More worrisome regarding her mental stability, Davis sued the newspaper months after losing her city council and claimed that she “ha[d] suffered and [was] continuing to suffer damages to her mental health.”
Think about that. The best candidate the Texas Democrats could find to run is a lady who admits in open court that a newspaper editorial caused her mental health to be damaged.
