SCOTT WALKER RESPONDS TO ATTACKS BY CUTTING TAXES, AGAIN

Scott Walker responds to attacks by cutting taxes, again
The establishment press first went for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s throat. The attacks may not be fatal, but they put Christie off his game and delayed and maybe ended his opportunity to become the prohibitive favorite for the 2016 Republican nomination.
Now they are coming for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
So how is Scott Walker responding to the establishment left’s coming attacks?
He is cutting taxes in Wisconsin. Again.
Walker announced a series of tax cuts totaling more than $800 million in this year’s budget: a $406 million cut in property taxes and $100 million in lower income taxes. The property tax cut will save the average homeowner $100 over last year. The personal income tax will be cut by reducing the lowest income tax bracket from 4.4 percent to 4.0 percent. Every family will receive a tax cut of about $58 per year.
In addition, the state will reduce its withholding tax for state income taxes saving taxpayers $322.6 million each year. This will save the average family of four about $58 each month.

EXCLUSIVE--TEA PARTY PATRIOTS: KARL ROVE CANNOT 'BUY HIS WAY INTO THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT'

In response to the news that Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS is funding Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) to the tune of $26 million in 2012, Tea Party Patriots National Coordinator Jenny Beth Martin told Breitbart News that Rove cannot buy his way into the conservative movement.

“The old adage 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer' is more relevant in today’s political arena than ever before,” Martin said. “It is not surprising that there are groups we thought were in this fight with us have been shown to have ulterior motives."
"The GOP establishment is uncomfortable with the Tea Party and the fact that Karl Rove is funding other establishment entities that have undermined or dismissed the Tea Party shows that we need to work harder than ever on behalf of the American people," she explained. "The bottom line is that Rove is not a conservative and will never be able to buy his way into the conservative movement.”
On Monday, news broke that Rove was funding Norquist’s organization, according to Crossroads GPS's tax return documents the organization made public. In addition to the revelation that Norquist’s ATR is funded by Rove, ProPublica questioned the legality of the arrangement between the two GOP establishment entities.

TAX HIKES REMAIN TOXIC

Tax hikes remain toxicOn Tuesday, November 5 the good citizens of Colorado voted 65% to 35% to defeat a ballot measure that would have replaced the present 4.63% flat rate income tax with a higher rate of 5% for those earning up to $75,0000 and a 5.9% rate for those earning more than $75,000.  This measure, if enacted, would have increased taxes by $1 billion a year with promises that it would be spent “on education.”
When issues are placed on the ballot by initiative petition or legislative referral we can learn a great deal from election results.  Candidates can win for a many different reasons.  Was the winner popular? Or was the loser unpopular?  Did voters agree with the candidate they cast a vote for on his entire agenda?  Or just one key issue?  Or was the vote based on personal issues of character or experience rather than any particular policy question?
But a vote on an income  tax increase to spend more money “on education” losing two to one in Colorado sends some stark, clear, undiluted messages. Initiatives do not flub debates or misspeak or drive under the influence or have bad hair days.  We can be fairly certain what message voters intended to send in Colorado when they said “no” to an income tax hike for more education spending.
And this loud and clear message of opposition to higher income taxes even with the promises that the revenue would flow to a “popular” cause of education spending undermines the Left’s narrative on taxes, Obama, and Colorado.

Norquist Sees Obamacare Delay as Better Strategy Than Defunding

Norquist Sees Obamacare Delay as Better Strategy Than DefundingRepublicans in Congress would be better off working to delay the Affordable Care Act, rather than trying to defund it, says Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform.

He'd love to see defunding, but the Democratic Senate won't approve it, and even if it did, President Barack Obama wouldn't sign the bill, Norquist told Newsmax TV in an exclusive interview.

"If they don't do it, then you have to have plan B," he said. "Plan B, which is delay everything a year, has several advantages."

First, there are seven Democratic senators who have to run in red states, Norquist says.

Editor's Note: ObamaCare Is About to Strike — Are You Prepared?

"They're terrified of Obamacare starting to take effect. . . . They might well prefer to delay it a year or even two to get it past the election." That could attract enough votes in the Senate for passage.

And when it comes to Obama, he already has delayed pieces of the healthcare law, also known as Obamacare, "to pay off his big business friends, his insurance company friends, his labor union friends and all of the congressional staffers," Norquist said.

"They get delays. You don't. We can talk about that for the next two months and embarrass the heck out of him and every Democrat running for [Congress] and say delay it for everyone, not just your fat cat friends, Mr. President."
