Can Trump Round Up 20 Million Illegals?

Donald Trump recently appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s show and was presented with an emotive scenario intended to bring Trump into the quandary of the establishment.

In context of rounding up illegals for deportation, Mr. Trump was asked about the families.  What about the undocumented people living in our country, working hard and raising children?  Is Trump going to bust into every home Janet Reno-style and drag families, kids and all, to the southern border?

This scenario creates quite the image and will be used repeatedly by the press to show just how unworkableunfair, and heartless Trump’s idea really is.

Trump’s response to the scenario was: if we are to have a country, we have to enforce our laws, and the “good” people will be fast-tracked back into our country with legal status.

The first half of Trump’s response is great – we have to enforce our laws.  But for Trump and the GOP candidates who are taking a “hardline” stance on those who have broken our laws and disregarded our sovereignty, I would like to take the emotion out of this scenario and present a laconic response for the candidates.

First, under O’Reilly’s lachrymose scenario, the issue of anchor baby citizenship comes to the fore.

It’s axiomatic that the insane policy of granting U.S. citizenship to the offspring of illegal alien parents must be ended (and the 14th Amendment doesn’t need to be amended to stop it – but that’s another article).

So the unasked and unanswered question is: if the policy of indiscriminate birthright citizenship is ended, should children already afforded citizenship be allowed to keep their status?  In other words, should they be grandfathered in?  Should United States law state that going forward, citizenship will not be awarded to the offspring of illegal resident parents?

Inasmuch as certain individuals were given U.S. citizenship, I tend to think they should be grandfathered in (although the U.S. is not obligated, and an argument can be made to send them all back).
If they are grandfathered in, then the emotive scenario of the press falls flat.

It falls flat because U.S. policy is such that the parents of anchor babies are not deported and become the beneficiaries of de facto legal status.  If grandfathered in, O’Reilly’s tearjerker scenario becomes moot.
Once the new law goes into effect (prohibiting anchor baby citizenship), residents south of the U.S. border will be on notice that if they somehow get past the expected border wall, they will face arrest instead of taxpayer benefits (irrespective of hardship stories).

Now a quick word about rounding up millions of illegals for deportation.

The best way to handle this question is to point out the obvious.  No one is proposing going door-to-door and collecting and dropping off hundreds of thousands of people at a time at the border.

Deportation will happen naturally, and many will leave voluntarily.  As illegal aliens come into contact with the police and other government agencies, they will be arrested and deported.  This means that once birthright citizenship for illegals ends, not many new illegals are going to be applying for taxpayer-funded welfare benefits.  If they do show up, they will be arrested and deported.  Any benefits currently granted irrespective of anchor baby citizenship will not be dispersed – illegals will scarcely apply with the guarantee of arrest and deportation.

About the morality of deporting those who trampled our laws and sovereignty underfoot.

Trump is right.  If we are to have a country, we have to enforce our sovereignty, borders, and laws.

[VIDEO] ANOTHER ILLEGAL MASSACRES FOUR PEOPLE IN FLORIDA

pits_family_dead
This is a horrible story. An illegal from Belize, Brian Omar Hyde, crossed the border in Texas earlier this year and went to Florida to stay with his cousin’s family, the very people he massacred earlier this week.
Those killed were Dorla Pitts, 37, her daughter Starlette Pitts, 17, and Michael Kelly, Jr., 19. The unnamed fourth person was the unborn child of Dorla Pitts.

SANCTUARY STATE IS A HAVEN FOR CRIMINALS

Another murder, another undeported illegal, another law unenforced.
By  – 8.13.15

Sanctuary State Is a Haven for Criminals | The American Spectator
I am not remiss to say that from Washington, D.C., to Sacramento, there is a blood trail to Marilyn Pharis’ bedroom,” Santa Maria, California police Chief Ralph Martin charged last week. On July 24, two burglars allegedly broke in to Pharis’ home as she slept. They sexually assaulted and beat her. Pharis, 64, a U.S. Air Force veteran, died in the hospital Aug. 1. It turns out that one of the two men charged for the crime, Victor Aureliano Martinez Ramirez, 29, is an undocumented immigrant against whom Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a detainer in 2014. Ramirez has pleaded not guilty.

The case seems like Kate Steinle all over again. On July 1, Steinle was strolling on Pier 14 in San Francisco with her father, when a bullet pierced her heart. Authorities charged Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, a seven-time convicted felon and undocumented immigrant who had been deported five times, with murder. He pleaded not guilty. If the San Francisco sheriff had honored an ICE detainer, Lopez-Sanchez would not have been in San Francisco on July 1.

I always thought there was a covenant with those who come to this country, legally or illegally. They’re supposed to be on their best behavior as a condition of staying. I thought President Barack Obama understood that when he promised to focus on deporting “felons, not families, criminals, not children, gang members, not a mom who’s working hard to provide for her kids.” But the administration has overly narrowed its view of criminal behavior, such that ICE targets only felons and undocumented immigrants convicted of three or more serious misdemeanors.

To me, racking up misdemeanors should make an immigrant who is here illegally a suitable subject for deportation — but the law has evolved.

Santa Barbara, California, law enforcement first booked Ramirez in 2009 for driving without a license. In May 2014, authorities booked Ramirez on felony sexual assault and drug possession. The charge was changed to misdemeanor battery. It was not reduced, Santa Barbara District Attorney Joyce Dudley told me. “The standard for arrest is probable cause.”
Last month, authorities charged Ramirez with felony possession of a concealed dirk or dagger and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. On July 20, he pleaded “no contest” to a misdemeanor knife charge; he was supposed to start serving a 30-day sentence in October.

For his part, the Santa Maria police chief is steamed because he has watched state and federal law work together to undermine law enforcement. The voter-approved Proposition 47 downgraded classification for drug possession, shoplifting, and theft from felonies to misdemeanors. And a 2013 California law, the TRUST Act, prevents local law enforcement from honoring ICE detainers absent a serious or violent felony conviction. (Ramirez has no prior felony convictions.) “We’re a sanctuary state,” explained Michael Rushford, president of the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation in Sacramento.

There is a cascade effect: Washington relaxes standards for deportations, and Sacramento cranks out bills and ballot measures to reduce the number of crimes classified as felonies. Deportation is not the law enforcement tool it once was. When there are laws against laws, the immigration and criminal justice systems are destined to fail.

Judge sets back Obama 'amnesty' program, lets employers discriminate against illegals

Judge sets back Obama 'amnesty' program, lets employers discriminate against illegals | Washington Examiner

President Obama's bid to grant special status to illegals in his program to defer deportation does not protect them from employment discrimination, a little known immigration court has ruled.
A judge with the Justice Department's Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer sided with an Arizona Obamacare provider after it withdrew a job offer in 2013 to an illegal immigrant who was unable to get a state driver's license because of his non-citizen status. At the time, Arizona would not issue licenses to illegal immigrants.
The case featured an illegal man granted "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)," dubbed amnesty by critics. DACA covers illegals who came to the country as children and gives them temporary and renewable status in the U.S. It also makes them eligible for employment.
After losing his Obamacare navigator job offered by Arizona Family Health Partnership because he couldn't get an Arizona driver's license, Brian Emilio Gonzalez-Hernandez sued claiming discrimination.
But in the June 30 decision, Ellen K. Thomas, administrative law judge, said that as a DACA recipient, Gonzalez-Hernandez wasn't a "protected individual" like illegals granted a green card or other types of residency status, and thus couldn't sue. She added, "An action for citizenship status discrimination may be maintained only by a protected individual…"
The case was reported on by the Center for Immigration Studies Monday. In a blog post, CIS fellow David North said that the court "ruled that a former illegal alien who has secured Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status may be discriminated against in the job market because of that status."
North added:
"If DACA people cannot use this provision of federal law (which I think was the right decision) it means that it is not against the law to discriminate against them in hiring.
"Perhaps the administration will try to overturn the quoted part of this ruling; it certainly runs counter to th general thrust of the White House's immigration policy.

CALIFORNIA: Huntington Park Councilman To Appoint 2 Undocumented Immigrants As Commissioners

(credit: Jhonny Pineda)
HUNTINGTON PARK (CBSLA.com) — Huntington Park may become the first city in California to appoint two undocumented immigrants as commissioners on city advisory boards, a lawmaker confirms.
City Councilman Jhonny Pineda has picked Francisco Medina to join the health and education commission and Julian Zatarain for the parks and recreation commission.
The 32-year-old lawmaker told CBSLA online producer Deborah Meron that he promised voters while running for office that he would create more opportunities for undocumented residents.
“Huntington Park is a city of opportunity and a city of hope for all individuals regardless of socioeconomic status, race, creed, or in this case, citizenship,” the councilman said in a statement. “Both these gentlemen have accomplished a great deal for the city. For that, on behalf of the city council, mayor, and our city, I want to say thank you to them both and I am confident they will do an excellent job on their commission posts.”
Pineda says he cleared the appointments with the city attorney, who confirmed there’s nothing that requires a commissioner to be a registered voter, a documented citizen or even a resident, which technically means someone here without legal residency can serve.
Appointees first pass a LifeScan background check.
Medina and Zatarain would not be paid for the volunteer positions and would not have a direct hand in constructing policy but would help advise the council on legislation. Other commissioners receive a $75 monthly stipend on months when they hold meetings.
Coming the same year that California allowed residents to apply for a driver’s license, regardless of immigration status, this move is the latest in an effort to recognize an increasingly sizable demographic in the state.
Pineda says at 13 years old he emigrated alone to the United States. He established legal residency and told Meron he feels blessed to have been able to come here and work. He’s served as a district representative on the California State Senate and legislative assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives. He currently is president of the California Latino Leadership Institute, an organization designed for young professionals interested in leadership development and serving their community.
This is Pineda’s first year on the Huntington Park City Council.
The councilman touched on his childhood in Central America and says there would be nights he’d come home to a house with no food.
He says the criticism of people who emigrate illegally often comes without understanding the hardship they leave behind.
When asked whether he expected any reaction to his commissioner selections, Pineda said: “Having worked at the federal level, I understand that not everything that you do reflects good on the entire nation. Of course, we’re going to have people who disagree with me, but I’m fine with that.”
Pineda says he selected Medina and Zatarain primarily for their contributions to the city.
A graduate from Cal State Dominguez Hills with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Chicano studies, Medina interned for then-Assemblyman Gil Cedillo, who now serves on the Los Angeles City Council, Pineda says. Medina also organizes immigration forums aimed a helping working-class communities.
Zatarain is a student at Santa Monica Community College who came to the U.S. in 2007, according to Pineda. At Huntington Park High School, he served as ASB president and graduated with the highest GPA in his class. He acted as campus representative for English as a Second Language program and created a club to help ESL students prepare for college. Pineda says he created a local chapter of the Red Cross and organized several blood drives. Zatarain wants to attend law school.
Pineda says the decision will be announced at the City Council meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday and will become official after being processed by the council.

MOTHERS OF CHILDREN KILLED BY ILLEGALS DEMAND DEMOCRATS CENSURE LUIS GUTIERREZ

GettyImages-460205938

The Remembrance Project’s director Maria Espinoza, speaking for the family members who lost children to illegal aliens, demanded that Democratic Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) be censured for attacking an expert witness testifying to the dangers sanctuary cities pose to Americans.

Gutierrez exploded on Center for Immigration Studies’ Jessica Vaughan after she pointed out that he called the death of Kathryn Steinle ” a little thing” during a Telemundo interview — and three mothers attending the hearing walked out in disgust. Laura Wilkerson, Sabine Durden, and Mary Ann Mendoza explicitly stated their anger and disappointment in Gutierrez in stark terms to Breitbart News. Now, these mothers, along with Espinoza, demand that Democrats in Congress censure him for his cold dismissal of Steinle’s death and his bullying of Vaughan.
Espinoza says Gutierrez must be stripped of his membership on the House Judiciary Committee and personally apologize to the families attending the hearing.
The full letter, obtained by Breitbart News, reads:
I write to you in regard to a recent extreme and deliberately insensitive tirade by a member of the United State Congress unleashed in a public hearing against a female expert witness testifying on behalf of American families whose loved ones have been killed by illegal aliens.
On July 23 of this year, in the House Judiciary Committee hearing on Sanctuary City policies, Luis Gutierrez of Illinois spoke these words to Ms. Jessica Vaughn, the expert witness who was invited guest and a surviving family member whose loved one was killed by an illegal alien View video.
Gutierrez’s public outrage, apparently provoked by a public recitation of his very own racially and politically-motivated speech trivializing the horrific death of a young woman killed by an illegal alien felon, five times deported, has caused an American outrage.
On July 16, 2015, Representative Luis Gutierrez, speaking in Spanish referred to the cold-blooded murder of Kathryn Steinle as just a “little thing.”  View video. This very public display not only clearly demonstrated Gutierrez’s complete lack of compassion for this grieving American family, but also for the tens of thousands of families whose loved ones have been killed by illegal aliens.
This public servant’s extremely inappropriate and insensitive comments must be addressed swiftly and with a strong censure so as to discourage other public servants from exhibiting such vicious behavior.  We demand the following immediate course of action:
1. Gutierrez be stripped of his membership on the House Judiciary Committee.
2. Gutierrez be ordered to publicly apologize to Ms. Vaughn and to all American families whose loved ones have had their lives stolen by illegal aliens.
3. Gutierrez meet with five (5) families and personally apologize for his insulting remarks at the July 23rd hearing.
4. Gutierrez serve 20 hours of community service helping Texas border ranchers repair damages done by illegal aliens and/or clean-up trash left behind by illegal aliens.
5. Gutierrez attend and speak on behalf of Americans killed by illegal aliens at the November 2015 National Day of Remembrance in Houston, TX , or at a location directed by The Remembrance Project.
We ask you to swiftly take action against this out of control public servant who is inflicting intentional heartache, emotional, psychological harm upon, not only, this female expert witness, bereaved families, but this nation’s entire citizenry.  Your immediate attention is needed.
Should you have any questions, please contact me right away.
Sincerely,
Maria Espinoza

Words we Cannot say in the White House—On Immigration and Terrorists

Hugh Betcha Interviews Obama—Satire—
—There Are No Illegals or Terrorists in America, says the President

In an effort to justify his refusal to protect the southern border of the United States from the torrent of illegal immigrants, drugs, and the spread of violence that has cost the lives of United States citizens such as Kate Steinle, as well as terrorist attacks on military personnel that resulted in the tragic death of five young Marines in a country they (ironically) served to protect, President Obama summoned “The Most Trusted Name in the News 2015,” CFP’s own Hugh Betcha, for an exclusive interview in the Oval Office.

Hugh, Chief of the International Desk of theStoos Views worldwide media conglomerate, a man who walks with kings and princes (unlike the President, bowing to none), caught a quick flight from Wynstone, South Dakota—where the air is clean, the crime rate low, the people vote red, and the centre still holds—and flew into Foggy Bottom. Ushered into the President’s office after a short ride in the Presidential limousine, Hugh settled down for a frank discussion with the President on the troublesome issue of illegal immigration, terrorism, and the violence that has plagued the country in the recent past.

The President seemed unusually defensive and out of sorts during the interview with his drinking buddy and the winner of MSNBC’s Most Trusted Name in the News Award2015—Hugh Betcha.

“I do not want the world to think we are inhospitable racists. I want the world to like us. It is more important to be liked than respected, after all. The influx of immigrants to this country is a good thing and brings in a new wave of Americans who are the future of this country. We need to be friends with Mexico and do not want to anger them.”

“But aren’t the illegals causing a tremendous drain on the economy, medical resources, and law enforcement down south? And how was our failure to imprison alien felons good for Kate Steinle and her family?” Hugh asked. “She died from San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy that you and your liberal Democrat allies encourage.”

Please do not use that word,” the President bristled.
“What word?”

Illegal. It is mean spirited.”
“What then?”
“I prefer undocumented,” the President said.

“But these undocumented aliens are wreaking havoc on the border states and you have done nothing to protect it.”

“Please do not use such language in here,” the President winced as he put his fingers in his ears.

“What?” Hugh asked.

Aliens. That sounds so harsh. We do not use such language here. They are persons from places other than the United States. Again, I have instructed all federal employees never to use such language. It may well offend someone. We no longer use the “I” word or the “A” word in the federal government.”

“Well the point being Mr. President, that if you do nothing to protect the borders, then we face a serious threat not only from the undocumented persons from places other than the United Statesbut also Muslin terrorists. They can easily sneak across our southern border and many say ISIS is here already due to your policies.”

“Once again, please do not use such language,” Obama protested sternly.
“You mean…”

“Yes, Muslim Terrorists.”

“But, weren’t the guys who bombed New York on 9/11 Muslim terrorists? How about the guys who maimed and killed all those Americans in Boston; how about the dirt bag who shot our young Marines in Chattanooga?” Hugh insisted, “what do you call them?”

“No, we do not use such language and there are no terrorists in America. They are simplydisagreeable people of another faith who sometimes randomly hurt people in various ways.I have issued an Executive Order to this effect, effective immediately.”

“Okay Mr. President, the point is this: You do not want the United States Government to even talk about, much less do anything to protect the citizens from, either the flood of undocumented persons from places other than the United States or disagreeable people of another faith who sometimes randomly hurt people, right?”

“Correct. Such action is preempted by federal law. The protection of the citizens of American is the prerogative of the United States Government. It is my exclusive right as Commander in Chief to do nothing to protect our borders or protect our citizens.”
But.....”

:...and the right to do nothing is a right I guard jealously.”

ICE Failed To Deport 2 Illegals, Now Suspected Killers Of Massachusetts Grandmother

Immigration and Customs Enforcement failed to deport two illegal immigrants who are now being investigated for a July 4th shooting that resulted in the death of a Massachusetts grandmother.
Illegal immigrants Wilton Lara-Calmona and Jose M. Lara-Mejia lived above Mirta Rivera, a 41-year-old grandmother, in Lawrence, Mass. The Boston Herald reports they were arrested on July 4, 2015 for murder and drug charges after a 4:26 AM 911 call summoned Lawrence Police Officer Frank Bradley to their Exchange Street apartment.
Bradley entered the grandmother’s apartment to a gruesome scene and found the victim “lying supine on the bed, pulseless, not breathing, eyes fixed front, staring straight at the ceiling,” according to his record.
He then saw a clearly marked bullet hole had ruptured the ceiling. The officer rushed upstairs where “the smell of fresh burnt gun powder was strong and evident.”
The two suspects were arrested along with 22-year-old Christopher Paganmoux. Officers searched outside and found a Sears and Roebuck .270 bolt action rifle which matched the bullet hole found in Mirta Rivera’s bed. The 3 men also had cocaine and heroin in the apartment.
Authorities have dealt with the suspects in the past, but failed to properly deport them. Lara-Meija was arrested for crossing the Mexican-American border illegally in August 2013. Despite ICE issuing a deportation order, he stayed in the country. He was considered an ICE fugitive after failing to appear before the immigration court in April 2014.
His accomplice, Lara-Calmona, was deported 3 years ago, but arrested again in November 2014. It is unclear why authorities failed to deport the man a second time.
Critics are scrutinizing ICE for their insufficient deportation policy. The Center For Immigration Studies argues the federal agency is putting legal citizens at risk.

Macy’s inundated with complaints from Donald Trump fans as 'tens of thousands of customers cut up their store cards in protest'

Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 10.20.38 PM
Macy's spat with Donald Trump seems to be costing the company dear - sources close to the department store say it is being inundated with complaints by customers.

Apparently the company has already received letters, phone calls and online messages from around 30,000 Trump supporters, many of whom have claimed to have cut up their store card.

The irate customers are accusing the company of being against free speech after it cut ties with the Republican presidential candidate two weeks ago over his inflammatory comments about Mexican immigrants.

Trump, who called for the boycott of Macy's, has been thanking his supporters over Twitter for doing just that.
'I am so happy that people are boycotting Macy's,' he said in a tweet yesterday.

In an earlier message he wrote: 'Thx [sic] to all the people who called to say they are cutting their Macy's credit card as a protest against illegal immigrants pouring into US.'

A Macy's spokesman told TMZ: 'Our Facebook page is often times used by our customers to express their feelings or points of view. Many times it does not correlate to any action.'

Trump began his tirade against Mexican immigrants when he announced on June 16 that he would be entering to race to become the Republican presidential candidate.

Trump tweeted this message a few days ago after calling for his supporters to shun Macy's

He said then: ‘When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.

‘I will built a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.’

Macy’s isn’t the only corporation to have severed ties with Trump. Mattress giant Serta, for instance, has said it will stop selling Trump-branded products, while Univision and Comcast’s NBCUniversal have cancelled plans to broadcast Trump’s Miss Universe beauty pageant.

Trump is suing Univision for $500million and has threatened legal action against NBC, among others.

Jack Kelly: Don't blame Trump

Kate Steinle, 32, was walking with her father along the Embarcadero in San Francisco in the early evening July 1 when she was shot – apparently at random -- by Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, 45, an illegal alien from Mexico who’d committed 7 previous felonies in the U.S.
Mr. Lopez-Sanchez had been deported five times. It would have been six, but for the fact San Francisco is a “sanctuary city.”
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had Mr. Lopez Sanchez in custody after his release from federal prison in March, but turned him over to sheriff’s deputies for San Francisco county, where a drug warrant had been issued for him.
ICE asked to be notified if San Francisco released Mr. Lopez-Sanchez, so he could be deported. But San Francisco does not honor such requests from federal immigration authorities.
In Laredo, Texas, the day after Kate Steinle was murdered, Juan Francisco de Luna Vasquez, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, beat his wife to death with a hammer.
Mr. de Luna Vazquez had been deported four times. It would have been five if Laredo police had informed the Border Patrol of earlier violent episodes with his wife.
In 2013, ICE released back into local communities 36,007 illegal aliens who among them had nearly 88,000 criminal convictions – including 193 homicides, 426 sexual assaults, 303 kidnappings, and 1,075 aggravated assaults.
All were being processed for deportation, but were freed while awaiting final disposition of their cases. Most of the releases were discretionary (not required by law.) After their release, at least 1,000 committed additional crimes.
The 36,000 were in addition to 68,000 other illegal aliens with criminal convictions encountered by ICE in 2013, but released without being processed for deportation.
Last year ICE released 30,558 criminal aliens who, collectively, had almost 80,000 convictions, including 250 homicides, 386 kidnappings, 373 sexual assaults, 994 aggravated assaults.
Illegal immigrants comprise about 3 percent of the population in the U.S., 30 percent the federal prison population, 38 percent of those convicted of federal crimes in FY 2013. More than 40 percent of federal criminal cases filed by U.S. attorneys last year were in five districts along the Mexican border.
These statistics go unmentioned by Democrats and journalists who’ve assailed Donald Trump for remarks he made about illegal immigrants when he announced his candidacy for president June 16.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Mr. Trump said. “They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”
This was a crude statement from someone notorious for making crude remarks. The vast majority of illegal immigrants have broken no other U.S. laws. Most work long hours for low wages at scut jobs to provide a better life for their families.
Illegals are far more likely to be victims of violent crime. As many as 80 percent of illegal immigrant women are raped during their perilous journey here. In every major population group, only a relative handful of people commit violent crimes. The proportion of violent felons among illegal immigrants probably is about the same as for the native born.
But violent felons among the illegal immigrants commit lots of crimes -- crimes that would not have been committed if they hadn’t gotten into the country in the first place, been deported promptly, or kept in custody until they could be deported.
Mr. Trump deserves criticism for how he said it, but the thrust of what he said is indisputably true. Criticism of his infelicitous remark is hypocritical coming from those who’ve asserted or implied Republicans who seek stronger border security measures are “racist.”
I don’t like Donald Trump. I wish he’d said what he said in a more accurate, less provocative way. But it isn’t he who deserves condemnation. It’s the politicians whose policies have made them accessories before the fact in the murder of Kate Steinle, and so many others.

[VIDEO] Judge Jeanine SKEWERS ‘sanctuary cities': ‘Don’t DARE’ demand lawless zones in America

As the Obama administration continues to run for cover over the illegal immigration policies that led to the death of Kate Steinle at the hands of a 5-time deported illegal alien, Judge Jeanine Pirro focused the spotlight on its failures Saturday night.
In the “Opening Statement” of Fox News’ “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” Pirro said “the concept of sanctuary cities” is “wrong” and “fundamentally flawed.”
The judge lamented what she called “politically correct nonsense,” and asked “What is correct about allowing a career criminal, who should not have been here in the first place, to walk the streets?”
Pirro recounted the Steinle case and called her killer, Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, a “dirtbag career criminal” who was let go by San Francisco authorities in in April when federal immigrations officials asked for him to be handed over.
“Sanctuary cities are safe havens for criminal aliens, not their innocent victims,” Pirro said.
Pirro said Americans are generous but “don’t you dare ask us to create a zone of lawlessness and ignore the murder of innocent victims so some illegal criminal won’t have to go home.”
And she put the blame squarely on the Obama administration, mocking White House efforts to blame Republicans for the illegal alien problem. Obama is forcing his own sanctuary policy, she said.
“The Department of Homeland Security reportedly instructed that California criminal illegals be transferred to San Diego and Riverside counties. Why?” she asked. “Because they are sanctuary cities.”
Pirro pointed out that in 2010, the Obama administration said cities who did not enforce federal immigration laws would not be punished.
“Can you imagine what the president would do if sanctuary cities refused to enforce civil rights laws, integration laws?” she asked. “The federal response would be swift, certain and immediate.”
