TRUMP SETS THE BAR HIGH FOR LOW ETHICS HILLARY

Donald Trump gave the speech of his life to conclude a rowdy, but successful, Republican National Convention. As with all Trump productions, there was showmanship and plenty of self-promotion and the American people loved it. Ratings skyrocketed with over 22 million Americans tuned in to the GOP Cleveland convention on a daily basis.
In his masterful 76-minute speech, Trump covered all of the important issues such as ending political correctness, rebuilding our infrastructure, restoring our economy, creating jobs, taking the fight to ISIS, restoring our military might, ending ObamaCare, and appointing conservative justices to the Supreme Court. However, he gave special focus to three issues: combating illegal immigration, ending bad trade deals and restoring law and order.  Trump also said he would be the “voice” of the American people and lead the fight against a rigged system.
He outlined Hillary Clinton’s abysmal record as Secretary of State and the disasters that she left behind in Libya, Iraq, Syria and other countries. Trump said that Clinton’s legacy was “death, destruction, terrorism and weakness.” He referenced her improper handling of classified materials and her deletion of 33,000 emails “so the authorities can’t see her crime.”
As one of his major themes, Trump outlined an “America First” policy which includes “safe neighborhoods, secure borders and protection from terrorism.”
According to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Trump’s speech rivaled “Reagan at his peak.” Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said it was the “best acceptance I’ve ever seen.”

The majority of the American people also registered their approval of Trump’s speech. In a CNN/ORC poll, 57% expressed a “very positive” reaction, 18% had a “somewhat positive” reaction, while only 24% had a “negative” reaction.  In addition, 73% of respondents said that the policies proposed by Trump in his acceptance speech will move America in the right, while only 24% said his plans would move the country in a negative direction.

Judge Napolitano lays out The Big Fix in Hillary’s email investigation

Judge Andrew Napolitano has put together a compelling case that a massive cover-up took place in the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails.  He writes it cleverly, with each sentence beginning, “What if…?” so as to be able to present hypotheses.
It really deserves to be read in its entirety at The Washington Times.  But here is a sample:
What if, when Mrs. Clinton suggested to the president that the United States wage a secret, undeclared war against Libya, the president went along with it as a no-lose proposition? What if he assumed that if her secret war succeeded he’d get the credit, and if her secret war failed she would get the blame?
What if the means of fighting the secret war consisted of employing intelligence assets rather than the U.S. military? What if Mrs. Clinton concocted that idea because the use of the military requires a public reporting to the entire Congress but the use of intelligence assets requires only a secret reporting to a dozen members of Congress?
What if Mrs. Clinton expanded her war by permitting American and foreign arms dealers to bypass the NATO arms embargo on Libya by selling heavy-duty, military-grade arms directly to militias in Libya? What if this was Mrs. Clinton’s dream scenario — an apparent civil war in Libya in which the victorious side was secretly armed by the United States, with democracy brought to the country and Mrs. Clinton the architect of it all?
What if the CIA warned Mrs. Clinton that this would backfire? What if the CIA told her that she was arming not pro-Western militias but anti-American terrorist groups? What if she rejected all that advice? What if providing material assistance to terrorist groups is a felony? What if the Department of Political Justice actually obtained an indictment of an American arms dealer for going along with Mrs. Clinton’s schemes?
One figure is missing in this account: James Comey.  I suspect that is because Judge Napolitano can't quite make up his mind what Comey was doing with his statement.  My guess is that Comey felt a ton of presure and decided to provide the ammo and let others pull the trigger.  But that's just me.

Trump Accepts GOP Nomination, Vows ‘Americanism, Not Globalism’

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Donald Trump accepted the 2016 Republican nomination at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday night, vowing to unite the country, put Americans first, and to be honest with the American people.
“Together, we will lead our party back to the White House,” he stated after “humbly” accepting the nomination, noting he will restore safety and return America to being a country of law and order.
The crowd welcomed the billionaire with a standing ovation, whistles, and cheers, chanting, “Trump! Trump! Trump!” and “USA-USA-USA.”
Trump joined in on the “USA” chant with a big grin across his face. Many delegates remained standing throughout his speech. He said, in part:
I have a message for all of you: the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon come to an end. Beginning on January 20th 2017, safety will be restored. America is far less safe – and the world is far less stable – than when Obama made the decision to put Hillary Clinton in charge of America’s foreign policy,” Trump told thousands of Republicans gathered in the Quicken Loans Arena, blaming President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — the presumptive Democratic nominee — for the growing amount of terrorism and unrest across the world.
“Lock her up!” the audience started chanting about Clinton. Trump responded to their call, saying, “Let’s defeat her in November.”
“It is finally time for a straightforward assessment of the state of our nation. I will present the facts plainly and honestly. We cannot afford to be so politically correct anymore,” the billionaire said, as the crowd reacted with cheers.
Trump told his audience a change in leadership is needed to provide a change in outcomes.
“Our plan will put America first,” he vowed, as the “USA-USA-USA” chant broke out in the crowd again.
Trump said the American people will count first, adding that “Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo.”
“Things have to change and they have to change right now,” he declared.

A protester briefly interrupted Trump’s address, but was quickly escorted out of the arena. Upon the interruption, Trump praised the police.

[VIDEO] Trump claims GOP nomination, tells struggling Americans 'I am your voice'

Just over a year after Donald J. Trump descended his iconic escalator in Manhattan to announce he was joining a packed field of political veterans seeking the Republican nomination for president, the New York billionaire completed an astonishing and historic political ascent Thursday night in Cleveland, officially claiming his party’s nomination — and declaring to struggling Americans, “I am your voice.”
Trump electrified the convention crowd on closing night, with chants of “U.S.A.” frequently breaking out as the nominee vowed to put “America first.” He used the speech to align his campaign squarely on the side of struggling American workers of all political stripes, as he moved to broaden his appeal beyond the Republican base that largely decided the primaries.
“Every day I wake up determined to deliver for the people I have met all across this nation that have been ignored, neglected and abandoned. … These are people who work hard but no longer have a voice,” Trump said. “I am your voice.”
And he delivered a tough law-and-order message throughout, declaring from the convention floor in Cleveland, “Safety will be restored” under a Trump presidency.
“America will finally wake up in a country where the laws of the United States are enforced,” Trump vowed.
He described the nation at a “moment of crisis,” citing terror attacks, violence against police and “chaos in our communities” including rising inner-city crime. “I will restore law and order to our country,” he said, while vowing to crack down on illegal immigration.

Trump says America in crisis _ and he'll fix it 'fast'

Hillary Clinton named Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia to be her running mate Friday, selecting a battleground state politician with working-class roots and a fluency in Spanish, traits that she believes can bolster her chances to defeat Donald J. Trump in November.
Mrs. Clinton’s choice, which she announced via text message to supporters, came after her advisers spent months poring over potential vice-presidential candidates who could lift the Democratic ticket in an unpredictable race against Mr. Trump.
In the end, Mrs. Clinton decided Mr. Kaine, 58, a former governor of Virginia who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and speaks fluent Spanish, had the qualifications and background and the personal chemistry with her to make the ticket a success.
Mrs. Clinton had entertained more daring choices. She considered Thomas E. Perez, the secretary of labor, who would have been the first Hispanic on a major party ticket; Senator Cory Booker, of New Jersey, who would have been the first African-American to seek the vice presidency; and Adm. James G. Stavridis, a retired four-star Navy admiral who served as the supreme allied commander at NATO, but had never held elected office.
