NEIL PEART – RUSH TO STUPID!

AWD is a drummer. Which means I’m really a frustrated guitarist. Neil Peart is one of the greatest drummers on Earth. Which means he is a frustrated intellectual idjit.

Yeah, we all thought Neil was smart with all those Ayn Rand-inspired lyrics in the early years. Who can forget the lessons about the evil of absolute government tyranny from the album 2112? Or the Rand-inspired lesson from “The Trees?” Well, it appears the guy who wrote the lyrics to those songs forgot the message!

It appears Neil Peart is just the latest rock star libtard! Don’t know what it is with those guys! He recently said as quoted in the Washington Free Beacon:

Peart outgrew his Ayn Rand phase years ago, and now describes himself as a “bleeding-heart libertarian,” citing his trips to Africa as transformative. He claims to stand by the message of “The Trees,” but other than that, his bleeding-heart side seems dominant. Peart just became a U.S. citizen, and he is unlikely to vote for Rand Paul, or any Republican. Peart says that it’s “very obvious” that Paul “hates women and brown people” — and Rush sent a cease-and-desist order to get Paul to stop quoting “The Trees” in his speeches.

“For a person of my sensibility, you’re only left with the Democratic party,” says Peart, who also calls George W. Bush “an instrument of evil.” “If you’re a compassionate person at all. The whole health-care thing — denying mercy to suffering people? What? This is Christian?”

So Neil thinks the Democrat Party is the place with a person of his sensibility? Does he really believe Hillary Clinton is the answer? He now embraces socialism??? And Rand Paul hates women and brown people? Well, Rand has been ‘randering’ to black people at every chance while railing against voter ID laws and fighting for allowing felons (mostly black) to vote.

I do agree that George W was an “instrument of evil” while President because he spent money like a socialist Democrat, gave us the worthless and hugely expensive Homeland Security and TSA, and partnered with Ted Kennedy to give us the stupid No Child Left Behind. Not to mention the ridiculously expensive Medicare Part D. Yes, W was an instrument of evil but not in the ways Neal Peart thinks!

And didn’t W spend billions of dollars we don’t have to solve AIDS in Africa (which cannot be done?).

I don’t have a problem with Neal Peart wanting to do charity work for the unwashed masses worldwide, just let him use his own millions! And if Neil isn’t a Christian (he isn’t), then shut the hell up about Christians and what we should do and think!

And Just Who are the Racists Again?

The Republican Party was founded to end slavery. The Democrat Party spent a century trying to maintain de facto, if not de jure, slavery

If an individual or a group was utterly consumed with concern about a race, and used race as the sole litmus test for evaluating anything, you’d say that such people were racists, wouldn’t you?

f a group was convinced that the only reason anyone could conceivably oppose Obama is the color of his skin, doesn’t that indicate an obsession with race?

If people are willing to ignore violence and bloodshed when one race perpetrates in against another, but only if the perpetrator of the violence is black, doesn’t that sort of indicates a racial preference that overwhelms rational thought.  That, too, sounds like the behavior and attitudes of a racist, wouldn’t you say?

The unfortunate election of Barack Obama has given the left yet another epithet to toss like a grenade into what they apparently consider “uncivil discourse”.  The phrase “we need to engage in more civil discourse” has, itself, become a leftist favorite to deflect any criticism of the president or any of his policies.  But as a bonus, the Obama presidency has provided the left with an opportunity to accuse those “guilty” of any disagreement, on any topic, by not only elected politicians but any citizen of the country, with being a racist.

California’s Blue Utopia

(Editor’s Note: California Political Review has been following this situation for a few years now, and we are re-releasing past articles detailing the state’s challenges.)

The Progressive wing of the Democrat Party sits at the left end of their spectrum. JFK’s liberal positions would be regarded as moderate today. Progressives have a unique vision of what a blue state utopia would look like that begins with clean air, clean water, and green energy. Over the last twenty years, with the backing of the public employee unions that control the political process in California, the Progressives have managed to neuter the Republican Party and turn California Blue, owning every elective office in the state. They did not need much help according to Dan Walters, who stated, “Even the most anti-immigrant, anti-gay marriage, anti-tax, anti-abortion Republican activist must now recognize that with the party’s wipeout in last month’s elections, continuing down its recent path is a plunge into complete irrelevance”.

In 2012, the progressive Democrats captured a super majority in both houses so that with their Progressive governor, they no longer require a single Republican vote to pass any form of legislation, leaving conservatives an “irrelevant” minority.  As an independent businessman, I have created many jobs and opportunities. But despite my contributions to society, and the taxes I have paid over the last thirty plus years, the Progressives believe I need to pay more so that I pay “my fair share.” Only when I pay my fair share can their blue vision of utopia be fulfilled.

What is my fair share? Under existing Federal and State income tax rates, I will pay 50% of my income in taxes. In California alone, my “fair share” on a million dollars of income is $133,000 each year. In exchange for my taxes, I receive little from the state. In addition, I pay gasoline taxes that pay for the upkeep of the highways. I pay airline taxes that maintain the airports I use. I pay among the highest in the nation sales tax on what I consume. I pay property taxes for the schools my grown children no longer use (they have already left California). I pay utility taxes for the upgrade of infrastructure. I pay higher health insurance rates. I already pay more than my own way.

Bureau of Labor Statistics: Unemployment Rates Of Women Up Under Obama

Unemployment rates of women, young women, and single women have all increased since O took office

The Democratic Party plans toprominently feature women at its convention in Charlotte this week, an effort that could be haunted by the Obama administration’s troubled relationship and failed record with respect to the fairer sex.

The sluggish economy under President Obama has been particularly hard on women. Nearly six million are currently unemployed, more than 400,000 have lost their jobs, and poverty rates among women have soared to record highs.

Since Obama took office, the unemployment rate among women has jumped from 7 percent to 8.1 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Young women have fared even worse. Their unemployment rate has risen from 12.5 percent to 14.4 percent since 2009.

The jobless rate among single women, a demographic the Obama administration is targeting, has nearly doubled compared with prerecession levels.

A recent Pew report found that women are the only demographic group for which employment growth fell short of population growth between 2009-2011, and have consistently lagged behind men.

“By this yardstick, the economic recovery has proceeded in opposite directions for men and women,” Rakesh Kochhar, the report’s author, toldthe Hill.

“Where have all the women’s jobs gone?” CNN asked in April 2012, noting that the “mancession”—during which men lost twice as many jobs as women—has since turned into the “hecovery,” during which men have gained backfour times as many jobs.

Even strong Obama backers concede that women are struggling. “Though we are seeing some recovery, we have not seen it in a recovery of jobs for women,” Heather Boushey, a senior economist at the left-wing Center For American Progress, told CNN.

EXCLUSIVE: RUBIO FIRES BACK AT DNC'S 'BROWN PEOPLE' SLUR

Today, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who is slated to give the speech presenting Mitt Romney on Thursday night at the Republican National Convention, fired back at Democratic National Convention chairman Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who said today that the Republican National Convention was racially pandering. “You can't just trot out a brown face or a Spanish surname and expect people are going to vote for your party or your candidate," Villaraigosa said.

When Breitbart News asked Rubio about Villaraigosa’s comments, he laughed. “Well,” he said, “these are all well qualified elected officials, mayors and governors and former Congresspeople and senators like me,” naming Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval and Saratoga Springs Mayor and Congressional candidate Mia Love in particular.

When asked if he thought the Democratic Party was race-baiting during this election cycle, he simply stated, “They don’t want to have a serious debate.”

Illegal Aliens CAN Vote, Military CAN’T?

Why is the Obama Campaign trying to disenfranchise military votes and at the same time, trying to make sure that illegal aliens remain on state voter rolls? Why are both political parties pandering for the Latino vote? Can illegal aliens vote now? The answer is yes, but I’ll get to that in a minute.

As Obama’s so-called Department of Justice sues numerous states to block military votesfrom being counted in the upcoming November election, they are also suing states to keep them frompurging known illegal voters from voter registration files.

Just in case you needed iron-clad proof that Obama’s Democrat Party is as anti-American as Stalin’s Russia, this should do it for you. Directing the DOJ to use all of its power to block the vote of men and women who pay with their blood for every right to vote, while at the same time demanding that people not even in the U.S.A. legally, have their votes counted. That should cover any questions you might still have about Obama’s anti-American agenda for change.

And as usual, the good ole ACLU is engaged in protecting the illegal alien vote, but they are nowhere to be found in the fight to protect the military vote. There’s no link for the ACLU defense of the military vote, sorry.
