When A Mom Spotted One Question On Her Fourth Grader’s Math Homework, She Lost It

The district confirmed it was aware of the situation Thursday, providing a more detailed response Friday morning.
The mother of one Ohio elementary school student is enlisting the assistance of local and social media to determine why a recent classroom assignment was peppered with what she felt to be inappropriate references.
She posted a social media photo showing an assignment sent home on the second day of the school year, prompting the press and concerned parents to share the image.
I suggested that with questionable wording, he should, maybe, have the pages retyped with new words and recipes he agreed. So not sure this resolved anything, but at least this teacher is aware that parents do pay attention to their kids’ assignments.

The district confirmed it was aware of the situation Thursday, providing a more detailed response Friday morning:
The wording is both insensitive and developmentally inappropriate. It also runs counter to the values of NAM and Cincinnati Public Schools, where we celebrate the diversity of our families and respect differences in backgrounds and beliefs.
Former district teacher Tyran Stallings agreed that the language used in this lesson was worrisome.
“I had an issue with the fact that liquor is being brought in a fourth grader’s classroom,” he said, “and in terms of education, I think that’s ridiculous.”
Should elementary school students be exposed to such references? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

[VIDEO] 2 Armed Thugs Picked The WRONG Store To Rob And Paid A Massive Price For It

ADVISORY: The video associated with this post contains graphic images that may be disturbing to some.
The owner of an auto parts shop in Oakland Park, Fla., shifted into “no-way” gear earlier this week when he bravely turned the tables on would-be armed robbers, wrestling a gun away from one of the hold-up men and shooting him with his own weapon.
The whole incredible incident was caught on chilling surveillance video released by detectives.
Police say that both the shop owner and the man who tried to rob the business suffered gunshot wounds in the scuffle. But while the man who owns the shop is expected to survive his wound, the accused gunman — who has been charged with attempted murder — remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
An accomplice escaped the scene and is now the focus of a manhunt.

[VIDEO] Wait Till You See What Hillary Just Said In Private Meeting With Black Lives Matter Activists

After watching what Hillary Clinton just did and said in an extraordinary private meeting with black activists, one could reasonably believe that the presumed 2016 nominee for president is trying to ingratiate herself with a radical but potentially viable voting bloc that could help rescue her failing bid for president.
In a just-revealed video of the private, backstage meeting between Hillary Clinton and Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists from Boston, Hillary readily agrees with their claims that America is a racist nation that routinely practices “mass incarceration” of black people to keep them subservient and oppressed. Clinton observes that her country “has still not recovered from its original sin” of “anti-blackness.”
She makes no mention of America’s first black president or of the numerous private companies run by blacks or of the hundreds of black athletes whose salaries far exceed what the average American makes.
Hillary listened quietly for more than three minutes to the leader of the BLM group lecture her and complain that “mass incarceration [is an] unfortunate consequence of government practices that just didn’t work.” In fact, not only did she listen intently, but she nodded repeatedly as the activist claimed that America still exploits black people as though they were back on pre-Civil War plantations.
Hillary heard and nodded as the BLM protestor spoke of the “anti-blackness current that is America’s first drug…free black labor and turning black bodies into profit.”
Then, after responding that she has been a lifelong champion of “black kids,” the Democrat front-runner engages in what many might call “political pandering” in the extreme. She claims that “anti-blackness” is a “founding problem in this country.” Clinton goes on to say that there needs to be “a reckoning” for America’s racial sins as she tries to advise the BLM activists how to gain political clout.
She favorably compares BLM to the civil rights movement, the womens movement, the gay rights movement. “Your analysis is totally fair,” says Clinton. “The consciousness-raising, the passion, the youth of your movement is so critical….”
By clicking on the video above, you can see for yourself how the Democrat in the lead for her party’s presidential nomination aligns herself with the radical Black Lives Matter movement and smugly trashes her country in the process.

[VIDEO] Gowdy Heard About Hillary’s Huge Trouble, And His Response Is One She’ll Hate…

Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, responded to the news that Hillary Clinton plans to turn over her email server to the Justice Department, in response to an investigation into the possible mishandling of classified information by the former secretary of state. (VIDEO)
The move by the Bureau comes following the reports that the Intelligence Community’s Inspector General discovered four classified documents, to date, among those released by Clinton–two of which are “top secret,” the highest security classification.
As reported by Western Journalism, Clinton stated during a press conference in March: “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email. There is no classified material.”
Clinton’s campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said that “She directed her team to give her e-mail server that was used during her tenure as secretary to the Department of Justice, as well as a thumb drive containing copies of her e-mails already provided to the State Department.” Merrill added: “She pledged to cooperate with the government’s security inquiry, and if there are more questions, we will continue to address them.”
Fox News’ Bill Hemmer asked Gowdy on Wednesday morning if he expected full cooperation from Clinton now. “It’s hard not to laugh when I hear that,” Gowdy responded. “I know he’s in the business of being paid to say absurd things, but if that really was his intent and her intent, why did they set up this unprecedented email arrangement?”
“Why did she keep the emails for 20 months after she left the Department of State?” the congressman continued. “She did not turn them over then. Why did she delete emails after 20 months? Did all of the sudden she decide after 20 months, ‘This is too burdensome for me to keep a bunch of emails on my server, so let me not only delete them, but wipe the server clean.’
“If she were interested in cooperation, she would not have done any of the things she has done to date. This is not about cooperation. This is not about convenience. It’s about control. She wanted to control access to the public record. And she also got away with it, but she didn’t,” said Gowdy.
Hemmer asked Gowdy if Clinton’s alleged mishandling of classified information fit the same category as that for which Gen. David Petraeus was prosecuted and convicted.
“The same rules ought to apply irrespective of their station in life. So I am going to have to count on the [FBI] and [its director] Jim Comey, who has a reputation for evenhandedness and fairness. The same folks who investigated and prosecuted Gen. Petraeus are looking into the current allegations with respect to classified information. If the facts are the same, I would expect the result to be the same,” he replied.
Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano believes Clinton’s breach is far more serious than Petraeus’. He said: “In his case it was ‘confidential’ materials, which is the lowest level of classification. In her case it is ‘top secret’, which is the highest level of classification.” In the case of Petraeus, the documents were in his home, while Clinton’s were on her personal server, making them vulnerable to hacking.
Gowdy released a statement Tuesday highlighting the severity of the former secretary of state’s actions.“This is a serious national security issue, and the seriousness of it should transcend normal, partisan politics.”

[VIDEO] Seattle’s $15 Minimum Wage Law Just Came Back To Bite Them In A Totally Unexpected Way

Early indicators suggest that the $15 minimum wage is a "lose, lose" proposition for employers and employees.
As the push continues in various locations around the country to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour, the real world consequences of such a move have begun to surface.
Seattle became the first city in the nation to implement the $15 per hour minimum wage this past spring. Fox News reports that one unintended effect is that workers who are earning the higher wage are asking for fewer hours, so they can remain eligible for low income government benefits like childcare and tax credits.
Full Life Care, a home nursing nonprofit, told KIRO-TV in Seattle that several workers want to work less.
Local radio talk show host Jason Rantz on KIRO-FM noted the irony: “If [employees] cut down their hours to stay on those subsidies because the $15 per hour minimum wage didn’t actually help get them out of poverty, all you’ve done is put a burden on the business and given false hope to a lot of people.”
“Despite a booming economy throughout western Washington, the state’s welfare caseload has dropped very little since the higher wage phase began in Seattle in April. In March 130,851 people were enrolled in the Basic Food program. In April, the caseload dropped to 130,376,” according to Fox News.

Watch: Unexpected Military Exercise In US City Shocks Residents And Raises Serious Questions

For the past few months, Western Journalism has been reporting on Jade Helm 15, the so-called “military exercise” the Pentagon claims is a training mission being conducted in Texas and other states in the southwest United States. Ted Cruz — the senator from the Lone Star State who’s running for the GOP presidential nomination — has said he appreciates those, including Chuck Norris, who are skeptical of the government’s explanation for the widespread troop and equipment movements and maneuvers.
As B. Christopher Agee noted in a recent post on Western Journalism:
Jade Helm 15, a planned military exercise that has sparked speculation of an underlying effort to institute martial law, is now getting the attention of some high-profile figures in the southwestern states affected.
Chuck Norris spoke out recently, echoing the fears many have regarding the actual scope of the domestic mission. He made it clear, however, that his grievance is not directed toward the enlisted men and women ordered to take part.
Now, as WNEM-TV reports, the U.S. Army is also conducting military exercises in Flint, Mich., where residents say they were caught off-guard when explosions rocked portions of the city. A spokesman for Flint city government says the blasts were part of a training program to help prepare the military for combat in urban environments.
